"The Philosopher's answer"

Why must life have a purpose
To forever bring to surface
The abyss within
Bringing about the cardinal sins
The deepest darkness is in our mind
Unrestricted bringing about our demise
I live to defy logic and reason
To then weather the darkest season
As I withhold my own evil
To prevent further upheaval
Those thoughts leech
And I beseech
The Lord up on high
As I sit and cry
To take from me these thoughts
Darkness is all it's wrought
My search for our existence
