"Grandfather's Tears"
Through countless hardships we go
Without compass or path to call our own
Family betrayal
A stunning portrayal
A monster of you they make
Despite sorrow and heartbreak
We turn our backs
Hoping one day out come the facts
Grandchildren barred from contact
By hearts so dark and black
Grandfather's heart heavy with sorrow
As I pray every night for tomorrow
Days become years
And each day brings more fears
I can't help but be scared
Since no one else cares
You forget more and more
And that hurts me to the core
Please don't forget me
Please don't flee
I know you want to
Stick to me like glue
I will stick by you with heart bare
Show you the greatest care
I will pull us from the muck and mire
With a heart and soul of fire
Burning ambition drives me
I wish to show what's beyond the sea
Bring you to Britain
Where you will rest smitten
A little house in the countryside
With me by your side
The day will come
My business will be done
I will give you back your life
And escape all this strife
But the day you fall
Is the day I'll crawl
I can't stand the grief
As tears streak
I love you, Papa
