Part seven

On our way back to the temple I was with the boys in the carrier while Chel was ridding Altivo. As we were going back in style the boys started singing while doing a little dance while siting crossed leg. "He he, not bad for a days work, eh guys." Tulio asked me and Miguel. I just nodded. "Not bad at all." Miguel said as he stretched his arms. "Yeah, we just became richer then the king of Spain." Tulio said with a chuckle. "Speaking of being kings, including (y/n) a queen. The Chief and high Priest seem a little...tense." Miguel said and I kinda agreed. "He''s gotta point." I said as well but Tulio brushed it off. "Buenos dias as you two!"He said to us pretending to be surprised and then continued since we didn't get what he meant. "Listen, All we have to do is keep playing the one against the other. You know! Do a little god dance, Chant some mystic mambo jumbo, dazel them with some smoke and mirrors, and then get the hell back to Spain." He said having this all planed out. But I saw that Miguel was a little iffy about this. "Um, Tulio. How are we going to get all this back. to Spain?" "I was kinda wonder that as well." We said to him and then he kinda looked stumped and realized that himself.

Now we were all sitting in the Chief's domain, and it was surprisingly calming and nice. "A Boat?" He questioned us after Tulio asked him his request. "Yeah." Tulio said bluntly. "Um we really ascending so soon, but uh some urgent business has come up (pointing up).  Some family matters you know." "Yeah, family." "Badabing badaboom, You know what I mean." The two were saying trying to fool the chief while i was drinking some water. "Oh...we were expecting you all to be staying with us for the next thousand years. Minus you friend here since she won't live past you both." He said and I was kind expecting this to happen since I wasn't pretending to be god, but this seemed to caught the guys in a net. "Well...as we say in the spirit world, there's your plan then there's the gods plan." Tulio said to him probably at the top of his head since no one has really said that before. "And (y/n) here is really important to us, and we were planing on showing her around here for a little while, but due to the urgent business its only natural she comes with us and leave.." Miguel said adding a little pizzazz. "Yeah, so our plan calls for a boat, cause we're going to send a horizontal pattern at first and then and go vertical and then go further out to sea." Tulio said getting back to the point. The chief looked at a little confused, but then think it through. "Oh, to build a boat large and glorious enough would take...about a week." He said and I could tell he had a point. "I wouldn't mind staying for a week-" I was cut off from Tulio's elbow attack. "A week, hmm, I wonder how long it would take Tzekel-Kan to do it." Tulio said a little sarcastic but I could tell he didn't like that guy either. The Chief looked a little surprised to that. "But, for the gods...three days." He said, I could tell that was are final offer. As they say, you take what you can get. Tulio didn't like that offer but Miguel nudged him to take it and not be too greedy. "Well, if that's the bast you can you." Miguel said with sincere. "Well, if you weren't burdened with so much tribute, you could leave sooner." He said pointing out the facts, and he did have a point and We were not going to give up the gold either. "Well, I like it here. Miguel, (y/n)?" "Yup." "Yeah, three days is fine."

As we were back in the temple Tulio still didn't like the idea of staying longer then we were hoping to. He started flipping the gold pieces in his palm relax himself while also hanging with Chel sorting through the gold. I was looking at the view while Miguel was laying on the gold. "No, three days is not fine. This is a real-" He handed her some earrings and went back to talking. "Problem." Then he went up to Miguel. "Miguel, (y/n) how are we going to keep this up for three days!?" He said to us but I was to mesmerized by the view this city had to offer. "You worry to much." "Yeah Tulio, loosen up." We said to relaxed to care, but that seem to make him more mad and anxious. Then her ran up to Miguel and pulled the collar of my shirt. "No I worry the exact right amount. You can never worry too much." he said to us making us listen. "We just have to lie low." He said to us, Miguel looked at each other with a shrugged than looked at the view before us. "I don't know Tulio, they believe enough that you two are gods." I said to him and Miguel nodded. "Yeah Tulio, this place is amazing. I wonder-" "No! don't you two even move." Tulio said cutting Miguel and me off from this golden parodies. Then they started cutting each other off in mixed up two word sentences with ended up leading Miguel balancing on one leg in a weird pose. "Stay! Just stand there!"Tulio said giving the final word. "For three days!?" Miguel said and his balance gave in and fell down and I helped him back up. "Yes! Exactly, three days. Don't even breath! alright?" He said making sure we understood. Miguel was dusting his sleeves and gave me a look that we were going to do the opposite. "Alright, we'll stay put." "Na ah, Promise?" He asked and Miguel just shrugged i off. "Yeah, yeah." "Great." He said as he sighed in relief. Then Chel came up to us. "Its beautiful, isn't it?" "Yeah." "Its amazing." We said giving our answer. "You know, you two really shouldn't listen." She said but we looked at her confused and surprised. "We know, but we couldn't." "Yeah." "Go ahead, I'll cover for you two." She said to us and I felt a little happier knowing i be alone with Miguel. Maybe I'll finally ba able to tell him. "Oh, good. Thanks. Lets go (y/n)." He said grabbing my hand and we went down the stairs. I look back at Chel and she waved to me followed by a wink. I blushed a little, but also fet excited to explore this new place.
