Part thirteen (Final Chapter)

I had calmed down and took a deep breath. The I helped Tulio get this boat ready to sail. While we were doing that, Altivo was acting frantic like something was coming. We looked to see what was wrong with him till he point in the direction in front of us. We turn to see...smoke. "That's not good." I said out load as Tulio nodded in agreement as he turned to Chel and the Miguel who was still worried as well. Then the real kicker started when we heard gun fire. "Cortez." I said whimpering in fear and I had the feeling Miguel knew as well. "My lord, what is it." The chief asked him, but before Miguel could answer one of the people was calling out to the chief. "Chief Tani! Chief Tani!" He yelled out while another was holding him up from exhaustion and fell on to the Chief. "Approaching the city, there is an army of stranger." He said with a face of fear. "We are safe here. They will never find the gate to the city." The Chief said trying to calm the man down. "But sire...they are being led...by Tzekel-Kan." He manage to say. "He survived?!" The chief said with anger which socked us. 'He actually survived that fall?!' I thought as the fear was rushing through me. "Warriors! Prepare yourself for battle!" He commanded and his troops rallied Miguel was trying to stop the chief knowing from personal experience of Cortez's army. "Tulio...What do we do now?" I asked him with a sad look as Chel went up to him and hold on to his arm, but he just stared at Miguel and the Chief then he started thinking as he placed his hand on his chin and then turned to our only way out. "Uh, one moment, please." Tulio said to the Chief and was moving stuff around on the ground while me and Chel sat on different sides of him. "Okay, here's the gate, here's the boat." He said laying the objects in font of us. "Uh ha." Chel said. "Here's the goat and here's the bate." "We got that already Tulio." "Well, here's the gate and here's the boat-" "That's all you have?!" "Tulio!!" We yelled at him causing him to flinch knocking the armadillo's drink to fall and washing away his objects. Then an idea struck him. "Ah ha!" We'll crash the boat into the pillars." He said happy with his plan. "That's it? I mean, but...what about the gold?" "Yeah, are you really sure about his Tulio?" We asked him know we may lose everything in we continue with this plan, or may or may not survive. "Well..." Then he started whimpering as he stood up. "Chief!" He said in a whimpering girl voice. *Cough* "Chief!" He corrected himself making his voice sound confident gaining the Chief's attention. "I've got a pla"n." He said showing the golden cup to him. "I hope this works and we live through this." I said having a bit of doubts, then Chel place her hand on my shoulder. "Me too."

All the Solders were in position and filling up the statues at the entrance with water and tying them with ropes so the don't fall on us of block our way of the exit to help with Tulio's plan on crashing the boat with the pillars. "Hold the lines steady! They are almost in place!" The Chief order at his soldiers. "Tulio, if we don't make this, I want you to know I've been secretly hiding yours and Miguel's biding money for myself." I said helping him with the sail. "I knew, I just didn't say anything. I just kept telling Miguel it was his fault he kept losing our money. We're gambler's you had the right to do so." He said honestly and we smiled at each other. "You are a great friend Tulio. Thank you for everything." I said as we continued getting the ship ready. "Let's sail this baby!" Tulio said and the ship was making it's course for the exit. As we were passing through to the statues Tulio turned to Chel who was steering the rudder and she nodded stating she was ready, then he turned to me as I was holding the rope to the sail and I nodded as well. Then Tulio and I notice that Miguel was looking at us with a sad look. Tulio rubbed his head and pushed back his hair and I just turned away knowing I will never see him again if this plan was to be successful, It would hurt more looking at him with a sad face as well. "Okay Chief! On my signal!" Tulio Shouted raising his fist in the air and the Chief nodded. "Hit the pillars!" Tulio commanded  moving his fist down like a punch. "Now!" The Chief ordered his troops and they ran the giant long through the statue's pillars the were holding it up from the ground. As we were making out course I saw Tulio flinch, meaning something was wrong. "Tulio, what's wrong?" I asked him "They falling to fast!" he answered with worry and fear. "Tulio! (Y/N)! The sail!" Chel said and he went up to me and help pulled the rope to the sail, but it wouldn't budge. "It's Stuck!" Tulio yelled. "But How?!" I asked but he shrugged with a scared face. Then the Statue was fall closer toward us and we started to panic. "Altivo!? Miguel?!" I questioned as I saw them running out direction. "What?!" Tulio said looking where I was staring and he couldn't believe it, neither did I as well, I felt a little happy but also scared see he was coming our direction of the falling statue. "Are you crazy?!" Tulio asked him but Miguel ignored him as him and Altivo made a big jump to out boat. Altivo landed safely on the boat but Miguel jumped off him and toward the stuck sail. He grabbed the end of it and pulled it down with him forcing it to open and making us go faster and avoided being crushed. We rushed to Miguel to see if her was okay. "Miguel get off the boat or you'll never see the city again!" "It's not to late!" Tulio and I said to him but he just smiled at us. "I know. You don't think I'm going to let you two have all the fun, do you?" He said taking off his crown and earrings and gave us that smug smile of his. Tulio  and I took this all in and smiled back at him and his stupid and cute smile. Then he grabbed two of the oars and threw on to Tulio and kept hold on the other one. "Com'n! We have a wave to catch!" He said to us full of joy. "And (Y/n)." I turned to Miguel. "Yeah?" "You missed." He said to me. "Missed? Missed what-" I was cut off as pulled my arm toward him and he kissed me straight on the my lips. When he separated from me I was completely stunned that he gave me a cheeky smile. "I love you too." He said and kissed my forehead and went to the side of the boat with the ore. I snapped out of my trance and went to work. Then Miguel signaled the chief to let go of the ropes. When he and his soldiers did the Stature came falling down creating a huge wave pushing us through the exit. "Get out of the way!" Tulio ordered us and we took cover away from the walls of the exit "hold on!" Miguel said as well as the boat was raging toward the exit that the sail broke off. The calm waters of the cave turn in to harsh raging water as if they were rapids. We kept hitting wall after wall I was holding on to Altivo at this point to keep from falling off. I was surprised the boat was still in one piece minus the sail. We were nearing the gate pillars of the water fall and it was time for impact. "We have to hit from the side!" Tulio yelled. "That's your plan?!" But the gold?!" Miguel said causing Tulio to whimper again. "I know!" He said knowing he was going to have it let it go. "You doing the right thing!" I yelled. "Don't remind me!" He said back and I just rolled my eyes. "Just turned the Boat!" He said and we were steering it to face the pillars sideways. "When impact, everybody jumps!" Tulio said and we nodded. We were all on the top side of the boat ready to jump. Then the boat hit the pillars and we jumped off. Miguel grabbed me making sure I didn't separate as we hit the water and took us ahead to the outside and everything started crashing down from behind us as the rocks from the pillars were falling on to the boat along with the gold.  

I started cough water out of my mouth as Miguel was patting my back as we were on all fours along with Tulio. "Are you okay (Y/n)?" Miguel asked me. "Yeah, I think I good." I said as my breathing went back to normal and he helped me back up. Then I went to Chel. "You okay?" I asked as he moved her wet hair from her face." "Great." She said a bit sarcastic as i helped her up. "It worked!" Tulio Cheered and did his happy dance. Suddenly we heard voices coming our way. Me and Chel Grabbed the boys as we hid behind some rocks away from the waterfall. "There they are." Chel said as we lay low, hoping not to be spotted. We couldn't hear them, so we could only watch. Tzekel-Kan was acting smug until he reached what used to be the entrance of El Dorado. he went up to the rocks and looked like he was pleading for mercy. Cortez look angry and kicked him from his horse to the floor and his guards picked him up and were taking him away. Then he saw me and Chel and we smiled and waved good-bye to him. "No! Wait! WAIT!" He yelled but was ignored. I felt bad for him, that's karma for you. Then the' boys and Altivo rose up as well seeing it was safe. then we had a nice big laugh to ourselves. "Now that, was an adventure." Miguel said crossing his arms behind his head. "Yes, yeas it was." Tulio said till he finally broke down and let out his "manly" tears. "It was so much g-gold!" He wailed making it awkward. I notice Altivo rose his hooves and saw he had golden horse-shoes on him and he slowly face them down from being seen and i chucked to that till I felt something behind me. I turned and saw my small back of gold coins that somehow made out of the wreckage of the ship. I slowly took the bag and placed it in my front pocket. 'I'll tell him later.' I thought to myself feeling proud I packed light. As Tulio was wailing, Miguel was about to comfort him till he finally stop and composed himself. "I'm fine." He said calmed down. "Good. Lets go." Chel said kissing him on his cheek and stood back up with Altivo. Miguel stood us and Looked at us and raised his hands at us. "Partners?" Tulio and I looked at each other, then back him with a smile as we grabbed his hands. "Partners." "Together always." We said and did our hands shake to make -up. "Hey guys! Com'n! You three don't want to stay forever do you?" She asked us already on Altivo. "But, we don't have a map." "We don't have a plan." They said not knowing what to do. "Well, that's what makes it interesting." She said to us. I just shrugged and went with it. "I guess it beats being outlaws." I said getting on behind her. Soon that guys joined in. "Alright! What are we waiting for?" Tulio said getting on next followed by Miguel. "Lets Follow that Trial!" Chel Cheered Signaling Altivo as he rises up. I quickly grabbed on to her before I could fall off like the boys and we galloped away. "Com'n Boys!" I cheered out to them. This was a new road ahead. "Chel! (Y/n)! We're not on the horse!" Tulio said as he and Miguel were chasing after us causing us both to laugh. 

"On the trail We Blaze."
