As we went up the stairs I was next to the chief  and the priest was in front while the guys and Altivo were dragging the themselves up with every step. "So, how did you befriend the gods?" The chief asked me. I could tell he wanted to trust me so I went with a honest answer. "I've met them during my travels through the lands at the age of 10 and asked me to tag along with them, so I did. I've been with them ever since." I said with a sigh and a smile. "Didn't you have a family?" He asked me again. "They died in a fire when I was five and I was the only survivor of what was left. No one would take me in, so I traveled place to place hoping to find a somewhere to call home and five years later I met them." I said pointing my thumb at them with a grin and he just chuckled. "You must be really lucky then." When he said that I couldn't help but smile sincerely at that comment. "You might say that, I guess."

By the time we reached the top of the stair case I waited for them at the edge and as the came up they were crawling on their hands and knees with what little stamina they had left. I offered them my hands but they declined and stood on their own so I went to help Altivo, who was exhausted as well. When the chief and priest turned around, the guys stood straight up and returned to their composure, acting all high and mighty. I just rolled my eyes and helped Altivo. As they pulled the curtain doors open we went in to see where we will be staying and we were amazed. Then the moment was ruined when the priest guy started talking like some kind a teachers pet. "To commemorate you arrival I have propose a reverent ceremony at dawn."  We looked at him not knowing what he meant. Then the chief cut in on his proposal. "Ah, then perhaps I could prepare a glorious feast for you to night."  Now that's something I understood. It's been a long time since we had a descent meal. "Which would you prefer." The priest asked us, not counting me, in which activity was to our liking. We all looked at each other and nodded. "Both. Both is good." We all said at the same time. "My lords." "My lords and friend." They said as the excused themselves and left us alone as they closed the curtains. 

As we looked around our new room, it was huge and amazing. As we took our time looking through the room, we all went to the end of the room and stopped at the middle where a big Aztec face statue placed on the wall. We Looked at each other and started grinning. "Hey." "Hey, hey." The both said and was just started laughing out loud like we entered the funniest joke ever and Altivo joined as well as he ran through the water, from the indoor pool I believe, and we all started dancing around . Then Miguel spoke. "Tulio, they actually think we're gods." we started chuckling more. "Its entire city of suckers." I giggled a little when I notice Altivo stopped  laughing and  saw something behind a pillar. I looked to his direction and saw that girl again. I waved to her and she put her finger in front of her lips telling me and Altivo to keep quite and smiled a little as I nodded in agreement But Altivo started nudging Miguel to warn them but he just shooed him away. "We just have to keep this on long enough to load up on the gold, and get the hell out of here." he said twiddling his finger as if they were legs. "Tulio, (Y/n),  we'll...we'll be living like kings and Queen!" Miguel said really pumped. "Miguel, Tulio, and (y/n)!" Tulio said posing. "(y/n), Tulio, and Miguel!" Miguel said posing as well. They were both facing the other direction not noticing the girl sneaking up from behind. We both started snickering. "Mighty and powerful Gods!" The both said in sink flexing their mussels and i decided to join in on the fun. "Hello." she said from not to far behind us. This causing the guys to look behind them and jump on what looks like one of the thrones and now posed in fear. "Ah! Runs!" Miguel and Tulio said as they screeched like girls which caused both me and the girls to laugh. "Might and powerful gods my ass! Haha! that was priceless." I said not even trying to hold in my laughter to spare their humility and the girl patted my back agreeing with me. The guys looked at me with small glares and then focused on the girl as they regain their composure. "Depart Mortal! Or we'll...struck you with a lightning bolt!" Tulio said trying to sound threatening and scare her away. But the girl didn't give him that satisfaction as she brushed off on the gold head piece. 'I like this girl already.' "beware the wrath of the gods! Begone! Che Che!" Miguel said as he waved his arms around like he was summoning something and hissing like a cat. I giggled at that point. "Save it fort he high priest honey. Your gonna need it. I bet your friend here is pretty much the normal in the group as far as I'm concern. So she's safe for now." She said pointing her thumb at me. "I'm (y/n), it's nice to finally meet you and not in some bad position." I said stretching my hand to her and she gladly shook it. "Are they always like this?" She asked me. "No, they are way worse. trust me." I said not holding anything back as I mocked them. 'Take that boys! I'm the normal in this group.' As Miguel was still hissing Tulio was telling him to stop. "Miguel, It's not working. Miguel, we've been caught." Miguel slowly realized this and stopped. "Oh, no, don't worry about me boys and girl. My only wish is to serve the gods and their companion. Remember." She said as she strolled her way and placed the golden head back on its pedestal. "How?" Tulio asked in a stern voice. "Well, if you want the gold and you don't want to get caught right? Your gonna need my help." She said walking away as she looked to us.  "Sure and make you think we need your help." Miguel stated. "Che Che. Are you serious." she mimic Miguel's noise, making me and Altivo laugh. "She's got a point?" I manage to say to them. They we mumbling trying to find a way out but no luck reach their  mouths. "Okay. So, uh, Who are you?" "Yeah! and what's your angel?" They asked her with barley any trust. "No angel. I want in."  we were left surprised at her offer.  "In?" Tulio asked confused. "On the scheme." She said like it was nothing. Tulio started to laugh nervously and my only thought was I wasn't going to be the only girl on the team now. "There's no scam. Why would you think this is a scam-why?" At that point Tulio had surrendered knowing we had no choice if we what to get away with the gold Scot free. "So I can get out." 'Oh, now I get it.' "I thought she said she wanted in?" I faced palm to Miguel's answer and let Tulio explain. "She want in, so she can get out." He said as he got of the throne and crossing his arms. "Aha, got it...(gets of throne)...Why?" "Yeah, I'm kinda curious myself." I asked since this place is literally a paradise minus the priest guy. "You think your the only one who dream of better things. Of adventure. You got your reasons, and I got mine. Lets not make this personal okay. It's just business." She said waling up to us. We looked at each other and had our answer. "Oh." We said at the same time. "So, when you guys ready to go back to...where ever you came from I'm going with you." She said as she placed her arms on our shoulders but Tulio was not in range on this idea. "Haha, no, don't think so." he said taking her arm off him causing Miguel to do the same. I was condenser for their idiocy at this point. Then she gave me a smirk. "Alright." Then she pushed them a side. "I'm sure you know the proper ritual for blessing a tribute." She said marching away from the stairs to the exit. We followed her as she continue talking. "The holiest of days on the calendar, oh, but I'm sure you now all about che balba." Then she chuckled as she pinched Tulio's cheek. "Okay. Good luck."  As she walked away Tulio touched his cheek and looked at her swaying her hips. 'Ooo, looks like Tulio's got the hots for her. "See you at the execution. But I'm sure you female friend will live since she not posing as a god, but as their companion."  She said as she was about to go out the door. I smiled nervously as Miguel was rubbing his neck and by the look on Tulio's face he at the mercy of defeat. "Ah, oh, w-wait! H-hold, hold it." He said pointing at her to halt causing her to turn to us. "Aha, deal?" she said stretching out her arm. Me and Miguel immediately went for it, but Tulio grabbed our arms. "Wait! Let's just see how this works out." He said pinching her cheek this time. Ah huh, then I guess you won't be needing these then." She said pulling out his dice. "Ooo! she got you good." i said while Miguel was chuckling and Tulio glaring at me as he took them back. "Call me Chel, your new partner." She said with a smile. 'Welcome to the team." I said and she pulled me  to get their clothes. "That's partner in training-" But Tulio was cut ff by us throwing the clothes on them. "And I'll be taking you friend here to get her ready as well."  I could argues as she was taking me out the door. "W-wait-" I heard Miguel say but we we were already out the door.
