Ryan's P.O.V
There was a shuffling for a few seconds after I knocked on Sienna's door.
She opened up, and to my surprise was smiling a bright smile, which revealed her perfectly straight and ultra white teeth.
"What's up, Ryan?" She asked, mentioning me to come in with her hand as she sat back back on her bed.
"I was wondering if you wanted to catch dinner, if you're not busy." I asked, scratching the back of my neck. Hell, this was awkward. I didn't usually ask girls out if I knew it wouldn't end in me getting laid, but then again, the night is still young.
I had only asked because my mother asked me to be nice to her, and told me to take her out to dinner, to welcome her. So that's what I was doing. Jessie always teased me for being a mommy's boy, but hey, it always works out well for me, so I don't see why it's a bad thing.
She hesitated for a second. "Um, okay." She said, a bit unsure. Probably of my motive, I was ninety percent asking out of the kindness of my heart. Ninety percent.
"Uh, great." I didn't know what else to say, like I can't really say thank you, I'm definitely paying for this, well my mother is. "We'll leave at seven, is that okay with you?" I turn my charm on, by accident of course and she gives me a very confused look.
"Yeah, seven is fine. Thanks."
I decide it's my time to go. So I walk out and shut the door behind me. I still had a couple of hours before I had to get ready. So I decided to go out, give her some space. I felt like we needed space if we were going to be spending an hour together over dinner.
Sienna's P.O.V
Ryan shuts the door of my room, and then a couple minutes later I hear him shut the front door. I'm still in shock.
Out of the blue, he asks me out for dinner? We were hardly even friends, heck, did we even count as acquaintances?
I thought back on our messages, he liked to leave winky faces at the end, was that him trying to flirt with me? No. I was being naïve again, this was ridiculous. He was way out of my league, both of us knew that.
I decided I should probably start to get ready. I grab a towel and go into the bathroom to have a shower, I definitely needed to wash my hair.
I put the clothes I got from Chelsie in a neat pile on my dresser, ready to return to her as soon as possible.
I turn on the hot water and let the room steam up before getting in. I hear a faint noise while I'm showering, like a door slam. So I assumed Ryan had come back.
I decide to update Peyton on the situation, and maybe ask for advice.
As soon as I'm out of the shower I make a beeline for my room. To my dismay, as soon as I open the bathroom door, Ryan is stood directly behind it.
"Woah, watch out!" He yells, grabbing the door. He giggles a little, looking at me, covered up in a towel, my hair stuck to my head like a drenched rat.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry." I say, scurrying away into my room. I was so embarrassed, and now we had to go for dinner together. I could feel my cheeks burning.

I took my time getting ready, because I had a lot to spare. I hoped we wouldn't be out too late, as I started my internship tomorrow. It was probably a good thing that I was going out, to take my mind off it.
As soon as I was ready, I came out to the living area. Ryan was already waiting there for me, he was on his phone. I decided to send a quick text to Peyton.
To : Peyton Valencia
P, guess who's going to dinner with her roommate?! (It's me!) any tips on what to do/say? Need desperate help ASAP. Can see this being a mental scar if it goes badly."You look nice, are you ready to go?" He asks. I nod and say thank you. And silence descends as we head out the door.
The whole lift journey is silent, until I decide it's time to break the silence.
"Where are we going for dinner?" I ask, not looking at him."A place called Bill's, I go there with my mother a lot."
I nod again. I feel like that was his way of telling me this wasn't a date. In fact, it told me that his mother was probably the mastermind behind this whole thing. Nice. This was a pity dinner date. My stomach started to feel quite heavy. This would be a long night.
We hail a cab and head off to Ryan and his mother's favourite restaurant, and I so badly wanted the ground to swallow me up. What did I do? I didn't want to keep initiating conversation, as if I was coming off as desperate for his friendship, in case he thought I didn't know his other had planned this. But I didn't want to recoil into myself, and be anti-social, and have him thinking I'm that kind of person, and have him wishing the night away like I was. Oh god, this was a nightmare.
"Hey, Sienna are you okay?" Ryan asks, quite concerned.
"Um, yeah." I lie to him, and also to myself.
"Are you sure? You're breathing quite heavily, do you want to get out and get some air or..? I don't know what to do I'm really sorry."
I tried to stabilise my breathing, I didn't realise I had been breathing so heavily.
"Oh shit, sorry. No, I'm fine really, thanks."
Calm down Sienna. He is just a person. I tried my hardest to breathe normally while Ryan stared at me worriedly. This was going to be a long night.
