Chapter One: New

"Wow! This place is so cool!" You beamed, staring at the tall building. It was definitely bigger than you thought it was. Standing near you was a tall, blonde lady who was to be your tour guide.

The Lady chuckled,"We haven't even gotten inside yet."

You eyed the front building with awe,"Yeah but, it's just so huge!"

The Lady opened the doors to the base,"Well let's go inside shall we?" She gave a warm smile to you as she gestured for you to go first. You eagerly nodded and stepped inside.

Your excitment grew more as you looked all around the base. It was just as awesome as you hoped it be. Maybe even better. "This is kind of the center of the base. Most of the members just walk and hang around here." The Lady said. You mouth agape, eyes jumping from each person you saw. You were completely astonished. An omnic looking person passed by, a dude with a cowboy hat was leaning against a wall, and a...gorilla man?

"This. Is. So. Cool! Everyone here is so different and interesting!" Right then something flashed towards you. You stumbled back a bit, startled of the flash that just came near you. Then, a girl was suddenly in front of your face.

"Sorry love! I didn't mean to scare you like that!" The girl said. She had brown hair that went in all directions. She also had this big light thingy on her chest.

You smiled,"It's fine!"

She grinned,"Say, you're the new recruit right? Nice to meet ya! I'm Lena, but I also go by Tracer." She shook hands with you. You noticed her adorable english accent as well.

"Thanks! I'm (Y/N)." You gave a gentle smile followed by a curious tilt to your head,"By the way, what was that crazy flash thing you just did?"

"Oh! That's my power sort of. Long story, short, an accident happened long ago then my buddy Winston built me this 'Chrono-accelorator' and now I can go through time a bit." She teleported a couple places then back in front of me. It took a moment for your eyes catch up to her. You smiled brightly.

"That's so cool! Does everyone here have powers like that?" You asked.

Lena chuckled,"Well, not exactly. But I'm sure you'll see for yourself soon." She gave you a little salute and zipped away.

You smiled,"She seems cool."

The blonde lady nodded,"She is still in training so I'm sure you'll both be seeing each other a lot."

You nodded then faced the woman,"Oh and what is your name again?" You asked.

"Mercy. Though, my real name is Angela Ziegler but most just call me Dr. Ziegler."

"You're a doctor?" You asked.

She nodded,"Why, yes I am."

You grinned a bit,"Well I actually do know a bit about being a doctor. I used to be an assistant for one a while ago."

Dr. Ziegler spoke,"Really? That's wonderful news because there are times when I could use a little help on some experiments."

You tilted your head,"Experiments?"

"Oh I am not only a doctor, but I am also a scientist." She said. You were now realizing how smart she probably was.

"Well I don't know much about science though..." you laughed nervously, knowing that science wasn't really part of your job on being an assistant. The only things you really knew were name of the tools and medicines you were told to fetch.

"Don't worry. It's not like big science experiments. I mean help with my experiments on new medicines."

You gave a sheepish grin,"Alright. Yeah I can totally help out with that when you need me to!"
