Dr. Ziegler let you sleep for the rest of the day in a patient room next door. She figured you needed it since you learned so much at once.

You tried your best to sleep that night. It took a while though. Your mind constantly thinking about everything.

You asked Dr. Ziegler about the others before you went to bed. She informed you about how everyone has kinda went their own ways during the week. She told you how your commander, Jack Morrison, died at the explosion, too.

All of this made your head hurt. It's crazy to you how you finally found a home and cared for everyone there. It was your dream to join Overwatch. You knew of what they did around the globe. Defending the world from the Omnic crisis. You've always liked helping others and putting others before you. Maybe that's why you liked Gabriel so much. He was depressed and in need of help even if he wasn't asking for it. You wanted to fix him.

Too late now.

Dismissing the thoughts from your head, you remembered you had a job to do. You told Dr. Ziegler you'd help with the... resurrection of Gabriel.

After getting ready, you walked to the entrance to her lab. You stood in front of the door, mentally preparing yourself. You took in a depth breath and typed in the code to the door.

With a hiss, the door slid to the side and you quietly stepped inside. You saw Dr. Ziegler setting up a variety of test tubes, containers, and syringes.

Your eyes quickly landed on the table and your breath hitched for a moment. She had moved Gabriel's body onto the lab table. Although it was covered by a white sheet, you knew who it was.

You called out to her softly, not wanting to startle her."Hello, Dr. Ziegler."

She turned around with a smile."Hello, (Y/N). Sleep well?"

You shrugged."Somewhat," you walked over to her and watched as she continued to gather her things."Are we going to start soon?"

She nodded."Yes, shortly. But first, I will commence a check up on you. Just a simple blood pressure test and temperature." She led you to a chair that you sat upon. You were guessing she was doing this to make sure you were okay after being in a slight coma.

She finished up fairly fast. You barley even noticed she did anything. You rose to your feet and stretched."I'm good, right?"

"Yes. Everything is normal." She walked over to a set of switches and turned on bright lights above the body. She also rolled in a tray full of surgical instruments beside her."Now, I will be instructing you to bring me things from that counter over there," she pointed a finger at the spot she was just setting everything up at."Some of test tubes contain chemicals inside that I don't want near the body till I say so."

You nodded, grabbing a mask and slipping it on as Dr. Ziegler did the same.

"Are you ready, (Y/N)?"

"Yes, ma'am."

*****

You did watch Dr. Ziegler do her thing but you watched from afar, not wanting to see everything close up. You still felt sick about this whole ordeal. Could she really bring him back? In all honesty it was crazy. You knew it was a bad idea from the start. Things like this shouldn't be done. But in the back of your mind, there was a tiny bit of hope. And that hope kept you from intervening.

Although, it was only just a tiny bit of hope.

The same hope that was surrounded by huge warnings and obvious reasons why you shouldn't let this happen. Yet you ignored it...

"(Y/N), the tube with the red label." She said.

You quickly picked up the tube that had this dark colored liquid inside. You scurried over to her and handed it over. She thanked you as you backed away to your corner. She inserted a syringe into the tube, sucking up the liquid. It was soon injected into the body.
