About a week has passed by since you first joined the organization. Everything has gone fairly well over time.

Almost everyday after training you would stay behind to chat with Reyes. You weren't sure why but you were eager to get to know him. His attitude was a plus when talking to him. You found it hilarious of how much of a grump he is. Especially at the mention of Jack Morrison.

You picked up some information about the two during your conversations. And also Jesse taunting about it to Reyes constantly. You learned that Jack had gotten the promotion of Commander of Overwatch. Something Reyes desired. But it sounded like Jack was getting all the limelight with Reyes left in the shadows.

You felt bad for him. It probably did suck for someone else to get all the glory when both were doing the same job. It made you want to befriend Reyes more. He never seems to talk to anyone. Everyone else seems to be afraid of him, too.

You were the only one to ever give him this much attention. He wasn't complaining, though. He honestly thought it was comforting to chat with you. It always seemed calm when you were around. Everything was at ease. It was like you were a stress reliever for him. All his problems would wash away at the sight of you.

It confused him to think like this. No one has lingered in his mind like you did. You were someone he looked forward to seeing during the day. There was a part of him, however, that was bothered by the way he felt about you.

You were currently making your way to your training session. On the way there, you passed by your fellow teammates and exchanged your "Hellos".

You stepped through the entrance of the training room. You were a bit early though. You figured you would go ahead and stretch before the others came.

When you walked in you heard voices ahead. You quickly got behind a box full of props and weapons. You peeked your head out the side to get a visual on the voices.

You saw one figure who was definitely Reyes, but you saw another one standing in front of him. It was a little girl with short brown hair and she was smiling brightly. She was holding something in her hand and from what you could tell it was some sort of food.

"Alright kid, that's all I have."

"Wow! Thanks Gabriel!" The girl said looking down at the edibles in her hands.

"Remember our agreement, right?" Reyes bent a knee to reach her level.

"Our little secret," she said, using a hand to simulate locking her mouth with a key.

"Atta girl." Reyes ruffled her hair making it look crazy. She giggled as she tried to move his hand away.

And for the first time, you actually saw Reyes smile.

He chuckled at the girl, making his smile even wider. You were caught in a daze. You don't think you've ever seen him seem genuinely happy before. His smile was also handsome, you might add.

The little girl stuffed the baggie of food in her pocket."I better go before mama finds me," she gave Reyes a quick hug then began to run off."Bye Gabriel!"

He waved at her as she ran out another exit."See ya kid!"

You were still in hiding. Your mind was thinking back and forth if it was a good idea to reveal yourself. Then you thought this was just another perfect time to mess with him.

"So Gabriel, you seem happy." You said as you stepped out behind the box. You leaned against it with your arms crossed, smirking.

You notcied Reyes flinch at his name from the sound of your voice. He slowly turned towards you with a confused look on his face.
