Nothing could be seen. Nothing could be heard. Expect for a loud ringing throughout your ears.

It was very dark. You weren't even sure if your eyes were open or not. You couldn't see a thing.

At first, you just lay there, too tired to even try to do anything. Then your thoughts slowly put the pieces together, remembering what just happened.

There was an explosion.

As panic moved into your mind you found your strength begin to replenish. Grunting, you sat your self up with your arms. Your head hit the top of something but you weren't sure since you still couldn't see.

Whatever the object was you tried your best to move it. You knew some progress was getting done as light shined through a tiny hole you made. You pushed it even more and soon enough you were able to see.

What filled your vision made you breathless.

Smoke filled the area along with small fires scattered around. Debris was everywhere. Entire rooms and door frames were crumbled to the ground.

But what mostly got to you was the numerous amount of employees underneath the rumble. Dead.

Blood poured around their corpses, limbs detached from their bodies. It was a complete horror. You almost threw up at the gory image.

You decided to escape from your little space you were in and try to get help. You tried to pull yourself out in the open when you were tugged back by something. You looked down to see your lower legs pinned underneath some rubble.

As you tried your best to move it with all your strength you hoped to God your legs were still movable. You had feeling in them so that was a good sign.

Ten minutes later you were free from the debris you were under. You coughed harshly as you became more in contact with the smoke surrounding you, pulling yourself further out.

Using a stack of rubble to help yourself up, you weren't able to stand on both feet properly. Everytime you put pressure on your right leg, pain shot up all the way to your thigh thus making you have to limp.

You limped throughout the headquarters not having a destination in mind. Just somewhere with someone at least alive.

As you trudged through some hallway that was badly damaged you tried your best to call out for help. It was very difficult since smoke engulfed your lungs making your hacking worse.

"Hello?! Is anyone out the-" Your cries were cutoff by yet another hacking fit. You were finding yourself becoming weaker as you moved. You leaned against a near wall sliding down till your bottom hit the floor. Tears stung your eyes  as you felt alone and scared. Hope was slowly dying down for you.

As your head fell to your shoulder, your breathing hitched with salty tears beginning to stream down your cheeks. You were in such a daze that you thought you weren't sure if you were hearing footsteps coming your way.

"... (Y/N)?"

Suddenly, your head sat up fast at the sound of your name from an all too familiar voice."Ga...briel?"

In front of you stood the person you needed most, battered from head to toe. His clothing was worn out and he had one of his shotguns in his hand.

Your eyes lit up at the sight of him. You were so caught up in this sudden event that you forgot all about Gabriel being here. Your worries grew more as everyone else came to mind. Jack and Dr.Ziegler...

You tried to stand back up."Gabriel, I'm so glad your okay. I thought no one was here. I-I saw them all dead." You felt a little light headed and started to fall forwards but luckily Gabriel caught you.

"W-What are you doing here...? You weren't supposed to be here." He said with his horrified expression.

You looked up at him with your teary eyes."Dr.Ziegler brought me here to assist her," you regained your composure holding on to Gabriel's arms for support."We have to go find her. She could be hurt!"

Gabriel stared at you for another moment taking in your drained sight. He noticed your limp in your knee and saw all of the cuts and bruises on your face along with your tainted clothing. It pained him greatly to see you like this.

"(Y/N), I'm getting you out of here." He said sternly as he put away his gun and placed your arm over his neck and began walking.

You protested."But, Gabriel! We need to save the others-"

"You are in no condition to do that. It's best if I get you out of here." He stated, with your safety his main priority.

You silenced yourself after his comment. You knew he wouldn't change his mind.

As you two were escaping out of the burning building, you heard loud rumbling from above both of you. Gabriel was ignoring it but you kept your head high. You knew something bad was about to happen.

The rumbling got even louder as pieces of the ceiling began to fall."I think we need to hurry, Gabe."

Gabriel huffed in response, getting a better grip of you so he could pick up his pace.

Just as you two began to speed up, the ceiling started to collapse right above. Gabriel was doging the pieces of debris trying not to get hit.

After he thought you two escaped it, he stood still for a second looking around for an exit. However, that second was just enough time for another piece of rubble to plummet above both of you.

Gabriel, with too much running through his mind right now, didn't notice what was happening but you did.

Taking action you quickly built up all your strength to get free of his grasp and push him as far as you could out of the way, letting the rubble fall right on top of you.

Just like that Gabriel's face came in contact with the floor beneath him. He grunted as he he pushed himself back up with his hands. Though, the loud crash behind startled him causing him to whip his head around to see you were no longer in his sights.

A large pile of concrete with dust took your place now.

His eyes glued to the pile, hoping what he was thinking did not just happen. He tried to call your name but he was breathless. Everything around him turned mute.

He didn't even notice his own debris coming down for him.
