Lisa was a bit surprised to hear the chaos outside, trying hard to figure out the reason behind it so she got up her chair to get a bit knowledge about the pandemonium.
She stepped out of her chamber when she saw a huge crowd up with their cellphones clicking pics in front of the VIP waiting room.
With utmost difficulty she moved the crowd trying hard to take a look inside just to see whether the president of United States have approached here.
But when she peeped in she bet that she would had been less shock to see the president than the person she saw sitting inside.
No, she rubbed her eyes twice ,she wasn't wrong, it was Edward sitting inside on the sofa and four black eyed bodyguards standing at four corners.
She was wondering for what Edward was here after so many years whether its for a definite reason or he actually caught a disease when one of the ward boy called him from behind.
" yes"
she replied
" this is for you mam"
He handed her a piece of paper.
"what is this ?"
She asked while reading it but she didn't have to read it whole as the ward replied.
" the person inside wants to see you,I have been looking for"
"me, are you sure he wants to see me?"
Lisa questioned
The ward gave Lisa a confused look and then said
" well that is what written on the note right"
Lisa looked at the note and nodded her head helplessly and said
"yes..... Yes.... OK thank you"
She somehow moved the rest the crowed and entered the room.
Edward got up seeing a familiar face after a long time.
Lisa came forward and Edward through some gestures made his bodyguards understand that they need some time alone. They left immediately and Lisa switched something which made curtains fall all over the glass room giving them more privacy.
There was a sudden silence that covered the surrounding and in order to break it Edward finally spoke.
" H..How are... You?"
"well...ahhh... Ya quiet good"
She fumbled
" thinking about the reason that brought me here?"
Edward asked
"well.... Yes...actually"
She smiled
" Listen Lisa I didn't come here for a chat , I came here as a friend and a crazy lover of your best friend, I came here for a straight cut answer"
He said
Lisa became pale after hearing this.
"W...What are you trying to say?"
"OK....OK OK OK .... Lisa Cummon tell me..... Where is she?"
He asked
Lisa turned away hearing this question , trying to avoid his eyes.
" whom are you talking about Edward?"
She asked in an ignorant manner.
" don't pretend Lisa "
Edward said
" Edward I don't know what you are talking about"
Lisa said again.
"Lisa please I am begging you , Lisa I love her , I need to know where she is"
Lisa was shocked
"why after so many years Edward?"
she asked
"because I discovered something which said she was forced to go to leave me, she was forced to stop making me love her"
He said it in one breath
Lisa was utterly scared
"w....ho told you all.....t...these things"
She stammered
"just a piece of paper, but I trust that paper more than anything , I trusted everything she ever wrote. It said clearly that she didnt leave me willingly so please Lisa I am begging you"
Edward was on a verge of crying still she stayed firm and said.
" I dont know where she is, trust me "
" oh please. Your name is Lisa right.. You are Dew's best friend how come you don't know where she is... It is impossible"
He yelled
Lisa wasn't able to control anymore and she shouted.
" Please Edward please don't go to her and welcome trouble to her life, she has already passed through a lot , she just cant bear it anymore , wont you like to see her happy?"
" Happy..? You think you are the only one thinking about her happiness? No. Because I pray for her happiness the most. There haven't been a day Lisa not a single day that I didn't think about her, what she is doing, where she is and you know that answer so tell me"
Lisa kept quiet
" tell me "
he shouted
" tell me Lisa "
he kept on saying
Lisa was fed up and she finally answered
" North Carolina , Beaufort"
For a while both of them were numb and then Edward spoke
" what made you hide this thing from me for five years even after knowing how much I loved her?"
Lisa turned back and took a deep breath
" I don't know. But I cant see her being miserable anymore"
she answered
" miserable?"
he asked
"I cant answer you any further, just take her address , she needs you"
She said and wrote her address on a paper .
" Daffodil School, school teacher? What is this?"
He asked
" This is where she works"
Lisa said
"what happened to her writing business"
He asked
" Edward I told you I cant answer you anymore, so please don't ask"
She said
"ok , I wont"
He was about to leave when Lisa called him from behind and he turned back
" Edward, if you meet her please don't tell her I gave you the address"
"I wont, dont worry"
He said and left
Lisa sat there helplessly , thinking what she did .But somewhere in her mind somed thought clicked that whatever she did was perfect. Both of them where in a mess they need to take each other out and she felt guilty that all these while she had been doing a terrible crime to Edward , keeping a man away from the only thing she loved the most.
Meanwhile Edward came out of the hospital and called Neil.
" Hey Neil book me a ticket to North Carolina , tomorrow morning"
" what ,but why"
A reply came
" I will explain it but now do as I say"
Edward said
" but why tomorrow ?"
Neil asked
Edward smiled
" pray that I didn't say tonight"
