So everything people see and label is human specific. We say animals come out at dawn and dusk. But they come out when they're hungry. When they know it's safest. People have given those times labels. Deer don't know they're commonly spotted at 'dusk'. Deer don't even know they're called deer. Time is people's perception. All our minutes, seconds, days, lifetimes, are in our heads.
Also I've wondered quite often about what would happen if you took a person, a child, and kept them secluded away from others and you taught them that the color people have named blue is called red. Or the shade of light we've named green is called magenta. So they'd casually be like, "Oh look at the beautiful red sky, and the bright magenta trees." And think about the slight change that would change what people call these different shades of color as a whole.
Everything people say and do is based off our labels on things. Colors, lengths, time...
Also- I've thoughts about this too. Animals in books and stuff, like on Wattpad for example, the animals think in English (or the language of the book) when in reality, these animals don't even know English. They probably don't even think in words. They might think in pictures. They don't know time as we think we know time. They are simply living life until there is none for them left to live.
Another thing (Jesus I've thought a lot lately)- Death. It happens. But what exactly happens then? I know that your person, your mortal body, is dead. Your brain no longer works, neither does your heart nor any of your other organs. So you wouldn't be conscious. But no one alive knows what it's like to be dead, because conscious humans can't grasp how it feels to be unconscious which is what you must be to be dead. You also must be more than unconscious - you'd have no chance of returning to life. You would know you're dying, and you'd know the experience. But not for long, because then you'd be dead. And since you'd be dead, you would not be able to tell others what it's like. Granted, they do have people who die and then are electrically shocked so their hearts start up again, but then that's not truly dying. Because they're alive again. Not to mention what becomes of the soul- or if there's even a soul.
I've got more!
So, humans are leading to their own demise. We are progressively moving toward our extinction. Which means that all of our wars and history and such will be forgotten. And there will be a new animal that is better built to survive in the remnants of our world after people are done with it. Humanity's great accomplishments will be things that these next creatures will have to find by doing what humans are doing now to find historic stuff- digging and learning. It's a cycle. Learning, success, extinct. Look at dinosaurs. They learned to live. They successfully live. They go extinct. People are doing that too. We've learned and are still learning. We're succeeding, but at the same time, failing. Our extinction is many years in the future, but it's on its way.
I'm such a happy person!
