Chapter 9 ~ Pre-Destination

"I brought your meds Josh", says Christian

"Thank you so much", I reply smiling

"There's some stuff I gotta do, I'll put the bags here and head out", he smiles

"You're not staying?", I ask

"Oh no, I'll check up on you in the morning. Make sure you get some rest", he says

"Thank you again, Christian. I don't know what I'd do without you", I smile

As he scurried off Leo smiles.

"Make sure you take those meds", he says

"I most definitely will", I say

"Will you be okay by yourself?", he asks

"I will. I'll be resting", I reply

"It's almost 9 pm. Do you mind if I stay a little while longer?", he asks

"Ooh. Stay as long as you need to. I like the company", I smile.

I got up and got ready to take the meds, in the bag was takeout food. Christian had bought me dinner. That was so considerate of him. He really does take care of me. I took my meds and sat on the couch next to Leo.

"I can't take you to my secret place tonight. If you feel better tomorrow. I'll take you there. Deal?", he asks.

"Deal", I smile.

We both sat there in silence for a while, I didn't know what to say to him. Eventually, I got drowsy. The meds were kicking in and I fell asleep on the couch.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

I was awoken by a knocking on the door. I was lying in bed. How in the world did I get to my bed? I remember falling asleep on the couch. Did Leo take me to bed? No, I doubt it... but that's the only plausible theory. I looked at the clock, it was 6:30 AM. I then heard the door close. I walked outside to see who it was, there stood Leo, standing in my kitchen.

"Oh you're awake.", he asks

"I am", I reply confused.

"I fell asleep on your couch, for some reason your couch is really comfortable but this time I didn't wake up in the middle of the night. I hope you don't mind?", he asks

"Oh no. That's fine.", I smile

"You look better", he says

"I'm feeling better. The meds worked... So who was at the door?", I ask

"It was Christian, he came by to check up on you, I told him you were asleep and he left", he replies.

Oh, dear. Leo makes Christian jealous and mad at the same time, I guess seeing Leo at my home so early in the morning would piss him off a little.

"Earth to Josh. Are you going to school today?", he asks

"Oh yes. I feel much better now", I reply

"Yeah no. I could still hear your hoarse voice, take one more day to make sure your fully better", he warns

"But...", I reply

"But nothing. Don't worry about your work, you can copy my notes and I'll bring you your homework. I'll explain to the teacher that your ill", he explains.

"Oh. Thank you, Leo. That's very nice of you", I blush.

"Tonight ill take you to the place I told you about. Be ready by 6:30 pm", he says

I smile and then see him off.

As the day went by I spent most of the day reading and sleeping. Super nervous to see where's this relaxing place he was talking about.

I showered and got ready and waited for Leo, at 6:20 pm he came knocking.

"Are you ready?", he asks

"Are you going to take me to the forest and murder me Mr. Axe Murderer?", I ask

"Yes of course. Now bring a notebook and come with me.", he smiles

"A notebook?", I ask

"Yes sir. A notebook", he replies.

As we headed off to his "mystery place" I had no idea what was in store for me.

That night was the night I fell in love with Leo. That was the night I'll never forget.... no matter how hard I'd try to.
