Chapter 47 ~ Threes' a Crowd

Leo's House - 10 AM

I was awoken by knocking on the door. I hurry downstairs and answer it. I open the door to find Eric.

"Eric", I say.

"Hey, Josh. Can I come in?", he smiles.

"Sure come on in", I say.

"Is Mark asleep?", he asks.

"You know about Mark?", I ask.

"Yeah Leo filled me in this morning", he says.

"I'm sorry Eric. This all happened so fast.", I say.

"Oh no. Don't apologize, it's fine, Leo said there was something you needed to tell me?", he asks.

"Oh right... Promise not to freak out", I say.

"I won't freak out", he smiles.

"Leo and I are getting married", I say to him.

"Oh?", he says.

"I'm sorry. Some stuff happened and...", I say as he interrupts.

"It's okay Josh. You don't have to explain. I told you I was cultivating you until Leo returned", he says while kissing my forehead.

"Thank you Eric and I'm so sorry", I say hugging him.

"Anyway. In order for you to get full custody of Mark, there's some stuff you need to sign. I'll deal with the technical stuff, I just need your signatures", he says.

"Okay. Where do I sign?", I ask.

"Here, here and here", he points.

"Do you want something to drink", I ask.

"No I'm fine, I gotta get back to work, interns are starting today so I gotta be there to scold them", he says with an evil laugh.

"Alright, dear. Go easy on them", I say.

"Never", he teases.

I see him out as I started on breakfast, wondering where Leo went.

"Big brother", says Mark.

"Good Morning dear", I say to me.

"Where's daddy. Won't he eat with us", asks Mark.

"He'll be home soon, I'll save some breakfast for him. Deal?", I smile.

Moments later I heard the door open.

"Josh", Leo's voice calls out.

"Kitchen", I yell.

Leo then walked into the kitchen along with Stefan.

"Hi", says Stefan.

"Stefan. What are you doing here?", I ask.

"You may not have to go to work Josh so I'm bringing work to you for now", says Leo as he kissed me on the forehead.

"Thank you dear", I say to him.

"I enrolled Mark in a private academy, the headmistress owes me a favor, I also him some new clothes and picked up your clothes as well", he says.

"I can't thank you enough babe, thank you so much", I smile.

"Well I love you so I don't mind", he blushes.

"Awhh. Love, such a beautiful thing", says Stefan.

"We're getting married.", says Leo with excitement.

"Oh wow! Yay! Congratulations", says Stefan.

"I'll go shower and we'll continue The Department of Purgatory", I say to Stefan.

I shower and headed back downstairs to see Stefan on the couch.

"Where's Leo and Mark?", I ask.

"Leo took him for ice cream. He said he'll take Mark out for a bit", says Stefan.

"So hows the Department of Purgatory coming along? Any progress?", I ask.

"Yes, it's coming along quite fine. I still have a while to go through.", he says.

"I can't wait to read it", I smile.

He gave me a draft of the upcoming chapters as I read, it was a really good book. So many twists and turns, so many ideas. Stefan truly did a wonderful job with this book.

"Josh, my girlfriend wants to meet you", says Stefan.

"Me? Urm.. Sure why not", I respond.

"Can I give her the location of this place? She was supposed to meet me at the office but I ended up here", sighs Stefan.

"Sure it's not a problem", I say.

"She's dying to meet my editor", he says excitedly.

We continued chatting about his book when we heard the doorbell ring.

I leave Stefan in the living room and head towards the door. I open the door, it was Lily.

"Surprise!", yells Lily.

"Ohmagosh, Lily what are you doing here?", I say excitedly.

"Babe", says Stefan running up and hugging her.

"Lily is your girlfriend?", I ask.

"Yeah. She wanted to surprise you", smiles Stefan.

"Come in Lily. I'll get you something to drink", I smile.

"I'm so happy to see you again Josh. I heard about Leo. I was in shock to hear he was alive. How did that go?", she asks.

"Well it went pretty well, we're getting married", I say to her.

"Oh wow! Yay! Congratulations", she smiled.

I then heard the door open. It was Leo and Mark who was grabbing on to Leo's leg.

"You're back so soon?", I ask.

"Yeah Mark seemed scared of people", he says.

"Awhh, my poor baby", I say as Mark runs up to me with his thumb in his mouth.

"Who's this little guy?", asks Lily.

"My little brother", I smile.

"Awh. He's so adorable", she smiles.

"Lily. Hi", says Leo.

"Leo. I heard you rose from the dead. How are you?", she asks.

"Living haha, how are you?", he asks her.

"I'm doing well. I came to visit my boyfriend. I'm living here now, I just graduated Law School and I'm an intern at the Stone Law Firm", she explains.

"Ooh. Eric's law firm? Good luck", he smiles as he pats her shoulder.

"Eh? He's that mean?", she cowers.

"It'll be fine babe, my boss is cool", says Stefan.

"If you have time to flap your gums then you have time to do a draft for me", he says.

"Yes. Yes sir", says Stefan intimidated.

"Come Mark. Time to shower with daddy", says Leo.

"Okay other big brother daddy", says Mark.

I can't believe Lily was here and she was Stefan's girlfriend, funny how everything comes full circle, doesn't it?
