They all scurried into a line, as in one in front of another, and I think I heard one of them whisper 'just like we rehearsed girls'. I watched them intently waiting for an introduction of some sort. The one in front jumped out at me saying...
"Hi im Alaska Jones and my power is to revive people!" Alaska jumped to the side letting the next jump out at me to introduce herself and so on and so forth.
"Hi my name is Treacherous Smite and my power is to read minds!" So ill be watching out for her...
"Hi my name is Hazel Beam and I can control any light source!" Wow...
"Hi my name is Miss Fly, you can call me Fly and my name pretty much explains what I can do!" I've always wanted to fly...
"Hi my name is Ella Shifty and im a shape shifter!" She sounds so cool...
"Hi my name is Winnie Andrews and I can turn into a Pegasus!" Im not gonna lie...that one was weird...
She popped a party popper in my face none the less making me take my time to get all the string off. But when I looked up again I saw that they were all in an individual pose that made me giggle a tiny bit. They were welcoming and a tiny bit crazy but that's what made me like them. Draculaura was right, they were like me in most ways and I knew that we would get along. I tried to remember most of their names just looking at them.
"How long are we supposed to keep this pose because my arm hurts." one of them whispered- I think it was Alaska- who had their arms up in a big v shape.
"I dunno! we didn't practise this bit much!" Another one whispered which I remembered was Fly because she had the longest introduction and that slight sarcasm that made me laugh. I decided to say something.
"You can relax now!" I said and they all let out sighs of reliefs which made me smile. Not even 2 minutes in this dorm and I still had some control. I like it. "Oh my gosh! I was not expecting that! hi to you too." I said walking over to a free bunk and climbing up to the top claiming it as mine! "I guess I should introduce me to you the same way..." I said standing up and jumping all the way to the bottom making some of them gasp. "Hi, my name is Chantelle and I can...move things with my mind?" I said, pretty sure that was what I could do. Although I still felt intimidated because they had such awesome gifts and mine was like...meh. Draculaura was quite quiet on the details of this whole power thing so I guess ill ask my new friends when the right time came.
"Oh my gosh! That is so awesome!"
"No way!"
"I wish I could do that!"
I knew they were just being modest about this and knew that their powers were so much better but they said these things so I don't feel bad...
"Thanks I guess but you guys sound awesome! Like I would love to be able to shape shift, or know what people are thinking." I complimented. These girls were so nice.
We talked and talked more for what seemed like hours. I learned that Winnie only arrived here last month, Ella inherited her powers from her great grandmother, Alaska is part of the school council, Treacherous knows that Draculaura doesn't like her...You and me buddy... , and that they all have this friend called Tyler. He sounds like a nice guy but I feel that they are not telling me something here about him.
"we should get going." Hazel says. "Breakfast should be done by now."
"why? it's 7am in the morning!" I ask wondering. Does this school really expect us to be this early to breakfast every morning? wow...
