Shawn ~
My fingers danced across the keys, creating a melodic flow of rhythm that makes a smile grow on my face. I've been trying to work on this simple verse for the past day and a half. Although frustrating, I'm now satisfied."I got it!" I shouted out to Sarah sitting on the opposite side of the room of me. Her eyes jolted up in excitement as she ran over to hear it. Placing the headphones over her ears, she nodded her head to the tune. Her cheeks flustered as we were no longer frustrated at this part anymore. "Yes! Oh my gosh, Shawn! Finally!" She then removed the headphones and high-fived me. "It's about time!" Geoff stated from behind me. Sarah passed him the headphones to listen to the catchy melody. Being just as excited as Sarah and me, he shook my shoulders, knowing that this was the one.
Light reflected off of the walls from the windows as a night black SUV drove towards the cabin. It must be Camila.
"Hey, I think that's Camila." I push the gray wooden stool back a bit and began walking towards the door. Her coming here made me more excited than the epiphany I just had. I peered out of the window to see her exiting the vehicle and grabbing a small suitcase out of the trunk. I had almost forgotten that she was spending a couple nights here.
I jogged out of the building and to finally see her face to face in what feels like centuries.
"Camila!" I shouted, grabbing her attention. A smile crept onto her lips as we both quickened our pace. "Shawn!" She exclaimed. She wrapped her arms around my torso as her head dug into my chest. Being the taller of the two, I awkwardly just hugged her shoulders and rubbed her back. It's always weird when you're taller than six feet.
"It's so good to finally see you again!" She pulled away and met my eyes. "Same here! I'm so glad you and I get to write." She picked up her suitcase and followed me back into the cabin.
Walking in, Camila met everyone with friendly greetings and smiles as she set her things down near the piano.
"So," she began," shall we get started?" Her hands clasped together. "Well, we were actually going to go get some lunch since we haven't eaten anything in a while. I'm guessing you want to come with us?" Oliver spoke out (for what feels like the first time in forever). "Oh, yeah. Sure!" She grinned at me as the rest of us got ready for lunch.
"Why haven't you guys eaten in a while?" Her hair was now all pulled up into a ponytail. I tucked my phone into the back pocket of my jeans. "When you're working super hard on something," Geoff patted down his shirt,"you don't have time to just leave and come back. It's like some kind of gut feeling inside that makes you want to finish up a part before you leave. 'Cuz if you leave, you wont have the same mindset of what you were doing when you first started."

The smell of the stereotypical New York subway station rode through my nose as the whole group entered a Five Guys. "I've never been here." Rachel blurted out. Everyone looked at her with wide eyes as Oliver joined her to agree. "Well," I placed my hands on my hips, jutting my lips out," this place is gonna fill you up!" Everyone chuckled at my stance. "And empty your wallet." Camila nervously stared at the prices. Burgers are expensive, but it's worth the price. "Maybe that should be their slogan, 'We fill you up as you empty your wallets." Joshua's hands waved outward as they were once together in the middle. Everyone here has such great humor, I love it.
Situating ourselves at two joined tables, we all savored the taste of the juicy burgers and dipped our fries into the ketchup.
"How have you been, Shawn?" Camila lightly pressed a napkin down onto the burger in attempt to get rid of most of the grease. Seriously, there was even grease on the buns. "I've been good. Just working on music, really. What about you? How has the famous Camila Cabello been?" She chuckled while everyone else at the table conversed with one another. "I've been good too, thanks. I'm just super happy ever since the release of my album." I hadn't even noticed she wore a floral headband. I'm no expert when it comes to fashion, but she really does look good with it, even without it. "Your album is so amazing. I'm obsessed with it! 'Home' is ridiculously good. Such good vibes from it." That was such a stereotypical thing to say for me. "You must really like that song." Camila's lips wrapped around the top of her straw as she drank her sweet tea. I remember her saying before that she only drinks sweet tea and water (unless her mom made her some homemade drink. She always did everything for her mom). "I really do, I love it! I really love the lyric If home is the safest place, you should be here with me. It's so... so simple, but perfect." She giggled to herself at my excitement. "Sorry, I just really like that song." My eyes awkwardly turned to the left of me to see Rachel standing with everyone else in the group, eyebrows raised.
"Okay, okay. We get it, you're in love with her. Can we go? We've been here forever just waiting on you." Rachel interjected our conversation. We all threw the rest of our trash away before leaving the facility.
"That wasn't that weird at all..." Camila sarcastically stated. She always made a snarky, sarcastic remark about something. Is it bad I like it?
