Shawn ~
Rain sprinkled on the car window as my manager, security guard, and I were being driven to Camila's show in Orlando. A little far from where I was performing yesterday (Universal), but it's all going to be worth it.I hope the rain doesn't get any heavier. I'm pretty sure the arena she's performing in is outdoors and I would hate the show to be cut short or cancelled due to the weather. If it ends up being an inside arena, the rain might make the experience even better. It sounds like a strange thing to say (and it most certainly is), but the sound of rain and music makes my mind mellow. Can minds even be mellow? Probably not, but it does. Something about rain makes music even better. I wish I knew what it was.
As everyone exited the vehicle, we smoothly walked into the arena without anyone bringing attention towards us. Finally finding our way backstage, arena security guards sternly tell us wait in backstage lobby until Camila begins to perform. I would go out and watch the opening act, but I don't know who it is. I heard someone say it was Daya, but I don't know who that is at all. Maybe I should actually give her a listen.
Just before I could take my thought and put it into action, lights inside of the arena dim as crowds cheer, signifying that Camila is about to perform.
I hurriedly walked to the side of the stage as the lights become brighter and Camila becomes visible to everyone.
With cheeks all blushed and a smile that could cure, Camila stands like a model in the middle of the stage with microphone in hand.
Her fans get even louder with every swift move she makes. Even the fans that stand next to me are loud for her. I'm guessing I wasn't the only one she gave backstage passes to. I'm glad I'm not the only one; I love to see big hearted fans get a chance to see their idol perform in person. I'd do the same, but I'm only really doing pop up shows at the moment. Maybe, in the future, I'll have contests one may enter to get backstage passes.
"Oh my gosh! Are you Shawn Mendes?!" A girl with turquoise braces and three different types of Camila Cabello merchandise on frantically asked me. Nodding my head, she and her friend jump up and down in joy and excitement. After a brief minute of them being overly excited (more than they were already to see Camila), the first girl freezes as her jaw all of the sudden dropped. She sent glances to me, her friend, and Camila. What is this girl possibly thinking?
"Did Camila invite you here, because you two are dating? Please tell me you're dating her!" I could hear Camila's voice sing (what I believe to be) Exposed. I don't want to be super rude, but I would like to see me best friend perform on her first ever tour.
"Haha, no. She's one of my best friends. She did invite me here, but it wasn't because we're dating."
"Why not? She's super hot and talented. She'd be a home run."
"Haha, she is a home run. But, Camila and I are not dating."
I reverted my attention towards Camila swaying her hips to the ending of Exposed. Moving her arms in sync with her legs, she gracefully twirled around on stage. She has quite a beautiful body.
"Cross your fingers and hold them tight, promise there won't be any sheets between us tonight."
I licked my lips, but only because they were chapped...
