Camila ~
The sound of feet continuously pattering across the floor echoed in the large room of people as a makeup artist prepared my look for an interview with E! He stroked his blush brush across my cheeks while loudly chewing his mint gum. Even with all of this noise, I continued to hold a conversation with my manager, tour manager, and financial agent. Still not sure why my financial agent is here, but she is.

"We've come up with a couple tour dates in the US leg of your tour that perfectly fits in with your schedule for the fall. So far, we have 20 cities. We would have 21, but we are still trying to work something out for a show in Minneapolis." My manager gestured to himself and my tour manager as they both nodded.

"Name off the cities. When will the tour end?" I asked, adding to the makeshift meeting.

"It ends in October on..." my tour manager scanned the spreadsheet loaded on his tablet screen in front of him," the 23rd."

"When do you plan for it to start? Hopefully soon, right?" They both vigorously nodded their heads as my financial continued to awkwardly and idly sit next to them.

"It starts in less than a month. That's why we need you to quickly approve these dates and cities, start practicing your music, make a set list, design your ideal stage--"

"When I said soon, I didn't mean THIS soon. How am I supposed to do all of these things while promoting Familiar at the same time?!" My hands and head went into a frantic motion.

"Stop moving." The makeup artist nonchalantly stated as I then stiffened my head.

"Well, you'll just have to work this out with us. So, most of the meetings about the tour will be in situations like this." My tour manager pointed at the hectic mess that surrounded us.

"Is this a meeting, then?" I asked.

"Yes. Now, look at all of these cities and approve them." My tour manager passed his tablet over to me. This had become more of a conversation between me and my tour manager rather than my actual manager or even my financial agent.

Miami 6/12
Orlando 6/18
Atlanta 6/20
Birmingham 6/21
New Orleans 6/23
Houston 6/24
Austin 6/26

The list elongated down the tablet screen. I nodded my head towards my tour manager and he excitingly took the tablet and pushed a couple of buttons in the screen. He probably emailed the approved list to... somebody. Honestly, I don't know and don't have a clue in who it would be at all.

"Hey, let's go. Interview is starting in a minute." An unknown man called out to me as I walked into the interview room.

Taking a seat in front of a long legged woman on a blue plush couch, she held her hand out for me to willingly shake. "I'm Katie Dollak. The interview is about to start. So, just be yourself." She smiled with blush all over her cheek. I returned the smile and leaned back into the seat.

A short and stiff man stood behind the many angled cameras counting down the seconds until the cameras begin to record with his fingers.

"Hey! I'm Katie Dollak and here with Camila Cabello! How are you?" The interviewer began.

"I'm doing well, how about you?" I politely responded.

"I'm doing good too, thanks for asking. So, we want to talk about your new album that just came out, Familiar. We are in love with it. Talk to us a little bit about why this album has a great significance in your life. Why did you name it Familiar?"

"Thank you. The songs on this album are extremely close to home, since the songs Sofia, Give Me Blue, and For Her are literally about my family and home. Being able to sing about personal aspects of my life is what makes me love this collection of songs a lot. I wrote these songs myself, and that's also a reason why I love this album so much. I named it Familiar, because these songs seemed to be the only things that reminded me of home since I have been gone for such a long while."

"Wow, that's amazing. I think we are all in love with these songs too. We heard a rumor that you actually helped your friend Shawn Mendes write songs for his rumored second album, is it true?"

I tried my best not to think of Shawn when I'm happy, not after what stupid incident had recently occurred just three weeks ago. For now, I'll just have to be cool with it and act as if I'm not emotionally disturbed.

"Uh, yes. I was writing with him like three weeks ago."

"That's awesome! How was that like?" Katie eagerly asked me.

"It was cool. I only got to write with him for two and a half days, though. Even in that small amount of time, we still had a great time writing the couple of songs we did. He's an amazing and talented guy and I hope I can write with him again."

"So," I began to anticipate the next question that basically everyone asked me," is there anything going on between you two? Are you guys dating?" I mentally face palmed at the question, but I laughed it off.

"Shawn is an amazing artist and I have always come to support him."

"Well, thank you for coming, Camila! We enjoyed you here and wish you could stay longer, but you have to go celebrate your new album. Get Familiar on iTunes right now!"

A couple of lights went off as the interview had come to an end. I said good bye to everyone in the small studio and left in peace. Well, almost peace.
