Shawn ~
I slowly rustled around with my black blanket wrapped around me, trying not to wake the others around me. We all slept in one room in the cabin, as we used the other guest room as the recording booth. The floor felt very stiff as the sound of a lonely tree branch constantly bumped up against the window. There were only a few mattresses here when we first came and we never really bothered to get any more, so Geoff, Rachel and Alex get them (they called dibs).

My head jolted to the side to grab the attention of the same lonely branch  hitting the window. The loud banging is the only thing that is keeping me up. I honestly don't know how everyone isn't annoyed by it right now. Not to mention it's storming outside. This whole situation makes the hairs on my arms stand. All I need are a bunch of creepy animals looking at me to be Snow White in that one scene where she runs away from the hunter. Ugh, why do I know that?

Again with the branch! I swear, it's like someone is trying to break in. Oh my god, great. Now I'm paranoid. Someone is definitely trying to break in. All of this noise is going to make me go insane.

"Shawn?" A small whisper came from the left of me as my heart leaps out of my chest from the sudden interaction. "Uh, yeah?" I awkwardly responded to the voice belonging to Camila. I turned over to see her already facing me. There was a body's distance between us, so it wasn't too weird talking to her, in the middle of the night.

"I can't sleep." I couldn't see her facial features, but I could see the general shape of her body as she turned over on her back. "Neither can I." She sat up as the darkness of her hair was the only thing that lit up the room. Her face tilted towards mine making her facial features now clear to me. "I'm going into the writing room." She stated, standing up and already prepared to walk out of the room. "Wait, why?!" I suddenly asked with panic rising in my voice. Ignoring my question, she walks out of the room as I hurriedly followed her without waking up the others.

Her small body took a seat on the wooden bench in front of the grand piano. She simply sat there for a moment before walking over to the guitars.

"What was the point of that?" I whispered, leaning against the piano. "Point of what?" She replied. "Sitting here." My finger gestured to the seat she previously sat in. "I forgot that I couldn't play piano." We were both startled for a second, since the branch violently attacked the window again. "I could teach you if you'd like." I blurted out. I don't know why I would suggest such a thing, it's the middle of the night. Who plays piano in the middle of the night?

I placed myself on the bench with just enough room for Camila to sit next to me. Patting the seat next to me, she sits with me and lightly lies her hands down on her lap.

"What song do you want to learn?" I asked, licking my lips. "Whichever is your favorite." Her shoulders shrugged. My mind pondered a library of songs in my mind before deciding which one would be best. "Putting me right on the spot, eh?" I chuckled.

"I think I actually know a song. Do you know Stay With Me?" Camila excitedly added.

"By Sam Smith?"

"Yeah."

"I know it, I just can't play it."

"Here, let me show you." She lied her dainty hand on top of mine, guiding me to the E, G, and B keys. "Press down your fingers like this," her soft hand applied pressure down to make the keys sing,"that's the first note." She continued to whisper the rest of the notes to me as our hands played the rest of the short intro of the song.

"Do you remember all of that?" She asked, looking into my eyes with barely any distance between our faces. "I think so." I faintly replied, our hands still touching. "Perfect." Her voice was only a mumble now. We then instinctively leaned towards each other. With her lips connected to mine, I felt like I was on top of the world. I could barely remember anything occurring in the world when she touched me. It was all her.
