Chapter 2

As the next few songs played off their latest album Battleground, my eyes were glued to Nathan; I swear every so often I would catch a glimpse of him looking at me. Mollie must have noticed it too because she kept nudging me and mouthing something about Nathan, although I couldn't hear her because the music was too loud.

They sang I'll Be Your Strength and Nathans' voice was mesmerizing; my eyes were glued to his figure. His glances kept the butterflies dancing in stomach. Once they had wrapped up the song and walked off stage there was a fifteen minute interlude. The lights came back on and chatter erupted the arena, while my ears were ringing from how loud it had been.

Mollie kept gushing how perfect Jay was, and that he'd waved to her making it the best night of her life. I had to agree with that, the whole Nathan thing seemed unreal.

"Nathan is so into you!" Mollie gushed sending a blush to form on my face

"You think so?" I asked hesitantly

"Of course! Did you see how he couldn't take his eyes off you the whole show? Siva even had to nudge him at one point!"

"Really?!" I muttered as we were interrupted by a tall guy with headphones and looking rather flushed

"Excuse me you too, the band have provided you both with V.I.P passes and the chance to hang out with them after the show" the man said leaving me and Mollie stood there with our mouths hanging open. He handed us the V.I.P passes and told us to follow him closer to the stage. He led us to the middle of the front row so we were inches away from the stage, we could even touch it.

"It was totally Jay and Nathan, Lucy! You think they really like us? She asked excitedly

"I don't know, I guess we'll find out when we go backstage" I said, just as I'd finished speaking the lights went out and the screaming once again started. Here goes, I thought.

This time they each walked onto the stage and started to talk to the crowd.

"You having a good time London?" Tom shouted into the microphone receiving a lot of replies from the crowd. Each member of the band picked out a poster from the crowd and some men in yellow t-shirts went to get them from the screaming girls so The Wanted could sign them, the girl's whose posters got taken onto the stage were jumping up and down, I felt the same kind of thing.

Once the posters had been returned they sang a few covers, my favourite was Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. I'd heard them sing it before but it was amazing to see it in person. They also sung The One That Got Away by Katy Perry and they put their own twist on Christina Perri's Jar Of Hearts which left goose bumps on my arms, it was beyond any cover I'd heard before.

"So guys, we love singing to all of you, this is where we belong" Max said walking across the stage as music filled the arena, they played Where I Belong, getting the crowd to their feet as they sung.

They also sang Dagger and Turn It Off and every now and again I could see Nathan peering over the stage and looking at me. He looked even more handsome up close, if that was even possible.

To top the concert off as they sang I Want It All they each sat down at the front of the stage, and you can guess who sat in front of me, Nathan. He sat there looking at me, just an ordinary girl watching her favourite band perform, a smile on both our faces. When it was his turn to sing he reached for my hand and held it so our fingers were intertwined. Sparks flew when he touched me, it was like someone had sent an electric shock through us both, was that normal? Even though there was aww'ing and screaming from all the other girls in the arena it felt like it was just Nathan singing to me. I felt like I was in a daydream about to wake up, but Nathans piercing eyes kept me in reality.

The song ended and he grinned a huge smile and squeezed my hand tightly while whispering in my ear "see you backstage" I felt like the luckiest girl alive, or a character from a fairytale or Hollywood movie.

I was in a daze as Mollie began talking to me about what had just happened, she mentioned that Jay had also held her hand. I felt like screaming out loud to let all my emotions out, and even though I probably wouldn't stand out from the rest of the girls screaming, I decided to give it a miss and concentrated on syking myself up for meeting Nathan.

For the rest of the concert they belted out their big hits like Gold Forever, Warzone, Heart Vacancy and of course All Time Low - each performance was incredible and as they took their final places on stage before walking off, Nathan looked directly at me and winked. Yes winked. It sent flutters through my body and anticipation of what it would be like meeting him in just a few minutes. Would he still like me, or would he just think of me as some crazed fan? I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
