Chapter 5 - Deja Vu
The next day when I woke up it took a few minutes for everything to flood back. The date with Nathan. A huge smile appeared on my face as I traced back to the stable. I rolled over and picked up my phone from my bedside table, I saw that I had two new texts. I read the first one from Mollie asking how the date went, I replied back saying I would call her later with the details. I clicked on the second text, it was from Nathan. I read it letting it sink in 'Had a really good time last night, can wait for our second date. Oh and I'm picking you up at 6 and taking you to our second concert date in London ;) x' I grinned as I texted him back saying I couldn’t wait for later. Once I sent the text I rolled out of bed and walked into my bathroom for a shower.
Twenty minutes later I was refreshed, dressed and walking to the kitchen for something to eat, my stomach was growling as I hadn’t eaten anything since Nathans date last night. My mum had gone out on her usual Monday morning shopping spree, so I had to root through the cupboards to find something to eat; I settled for toast and while it was in the toaster I made myself a cup of tea. Tea really was the best drink ever invented! The toast popped up and I buttered it, sitting at the kitchen table and turning the radio up. The usual Rihanna songs came up and Ed, and as I was crunching on my toast they couldn’t have played a better song- Lightning! I turned it up and sung the words while dancing around the kitchen like an idiot. The song ended and gulped my tea, puffing out of breathe.
“That was The Wanted with Lightning. The boys started their arena tour a couple of days ago, and they were in London last night. Some fans from the concert say Nathan couldn’t keep his eyes of one fan girl in particular and invited her backstage after the show. We’ll keep you up to date about Nathans mystery girl as they play another gig here in London tonight” The radio presenter spoke, making the words ring in my ear. They were talking about me. I found it rather surreal that I was Nathans mystery girl everyone was talking about, and that other people had thought Nathan couldn’t keep his eyes off me – I thought it was just exaggerating my thoughts, but apparently not.
I cleared the table and decided I would ring Mollie and tell her about the date and going to the concert again tonight. The phone rang and she picked up on the fourth ring.
“Hey Mollie” I said cheerfully
“Lucy! Tell me about your date! Where did he take you? What did you do? Was it romantic?” she fired at me
“Wow, slow down! You know the stable where I always used to go and hang out?” I asked, pretty sure she knew where I was on about
“Of course I do yeah. But what’s that got to do with the date? She asked curiously
“Let me finish. Anyway, he blindfolded me and wouldn’t tell me where he was taking me and when I took the blindfold off we were at the stable. He bought a picnic with candles and everything” I gushed
“Awww! That’s so romantic” I heard Mollie squealing in the background “Did he kiss you?” she added at the end. I hesitated and before I could say anything Mollie was already talking.
“You kissed! Did you like it? Was he a good kisser?” Mollie really had a knack of asking too many questions at once
“Yes we kissed, and yes he’s a good kisser, but that’s all you’re getting from me!” I replied. Just thinking about Nathans kiss sent tingles along my arms as the memory of his sweet breathe on mine dug at my mind.
“No fair” Mollie groaned
“Enough about me and Nathan! What about you and Jay? You seemed to really hit it off the other day” I asked
“Well he’s picking me up before the concert tonight and taking me out to dinner, then he’s taking me to the concert. I can’t wait Lucy! He’s really sweet and funny, and don’t even get me started on his curly locks” Mollie trailed off and I had to laugh at her.
