The Storm

Chapter 10

Sighing wasn't such a good idea, since he opened the door. Whoever it is has a hood on. He points the gun at my head. The sound of steps start going down he stairs and echoing through  the house. The man grabs me and I scream, but then he holds a rag over my mouth. The last thing I see is Miguel running towards us. Then my eyes start to get heavy and I pass out.

When I awake I'm laying in a bed. I see Miguel's name sown into the blanket. I look around without moving my head. It kind of looks like some kind of military bunker. I was about to sit up when I heard a door open. I sat up a little when I saw Miguel. He walked over to me, and sat next to me on the bed.

"Your on the military base I work at. I told your parents you'd be staying here until I track down whoever was trying to kidnap you. They got away from me last night." He said handing me a bottle of cold water. "Ace, come here boy."

When he said that Ace came over and jumped up on the bed. I drank some of the water, and Miguel smiled. "So, do you have any idea who it was?" I asked as he pat my head.

"No, but don't worry, you'll be safe. Come on, you must be hungry." He grabbed my hand and stood up dragging me up with him. We walked to the cafeteria, Ace following close behind. "Here sit, I'll go get you some food. Ace, guard."

Ace turned his back facing me and sat. When he got back Ace laid down and, Miguel put a plate infront of me. It had two pieces of chicken, some mash potatoes, and some green beans. When I was done eating he moved some of my hair and kissed my forehead. We left the cafeteria, and I see people running around. "Wow there is a lot of people here." I said looking around.

"Yeah, it's hard to believe how high of a rank I am." He said smiling.

"Really? What's your rank?" I asked looking at him. (Okay people. I want to take a vote. Tell me what you think his rank should be.)

"I'll tell you later." He said as we walked into a store that's on the base. "For now let's get you some clothes. I'll get a house on base for you too."

"Does that mean you won't be staying with me?" I asked sadly. He pat my head.

"If you want, I'll stay with you." He said smiling at me.

"It would make me feel safer." I said looking at him. After we were done getting clothes, I was sitting in a chair waiting for him. He went into an office to talk to someone. When he comes out he has a pair of keys.

"These are the keys to the house. Let's get the house set up." He said walking and I followed behind him. We came to a two story house on the base. It is brown on the outside. The inside has beige walls, a big kitchen, livingroom, one bathroom, and one bedroom. Along with an other standard rooms in a house.
