The Storm

Chapter 3

I have been on this island for a week now. It's not that bad since I have been with Miguel. He is really sweet to me.

Sometimes though at night I heard footsteps outside. I know I'm not hearing things because my dog reacts too. When I asked Miguel he said it was squirrels, but when he said that he stuttered a bit.

What is he trying to hide from me? I really need to know, because at night it feels like someone is watching me. I thought that me and Miguel are the only people here. Now I know that we aren't.

"You okay?" Miguel asked waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh? Oh I'm fine." I said smiling.

"You must miss your family." He said sadly.

"Yeah, I do." I said looking into his eyes. He looked into mine. He started to lean in, but then Coco barked at us. He quickly pulled back.

"What is it girl?" Miguel asked petting Coco. Coco started to growl and I heard foot steps. Miguel looked at me and put a finger up to his mouth signaling me to be quiet.

I watched as he grabbed his knife and walked back over towards me. "Everything's going to be okay, so come with me." He said grabbing my hand gently.

He dragged me out of through a back door that I did not know existed. Coco followed us quietly. While we were walking some walked in front of us. He is covered in blood and then we were surrounded by boys covered in blood.

"What is going on? Why are they covered in blood?" I asked as Coco started growling and Miguel got in a fighting position. I looked from Miguel to the blood covered guys. One of them looked at me and licked his lips.

"It's been forever since we last saw a girl." The one looking at me said. They all turned their attention to me. "You on the other hand. I thought you left after we feasted on you friends."

"Wait. They are ca-cannibals?" I asked looking up at Miguel. He looked down at me his eyes had some worry.

"We are cannibals. You look fun and delicious." The one that I will now guess is their leader said smirking.

"W-what does he mean by f-fun?" I asked shaking a bit. Their leaders eyes were looking straight at mine and it is creeping me out.

"You want to hurt her. You'll have to get through me." Miguel said as Coco started barking. Some of them started to move in. They tried to fight them off, but they were over powered.

Their leader started to walk towards me. He got in front of me and he put a hand up to my face. I closed my eyes in fear as I felt his hand touch my cheek. His hands have blood on them, and there is now blood on my cheek.

I looked at Miguel who was being held. He looked really angry. "Who wants to get to have some fun with her before we eat her?" Their leader asked looking at everyone else.

"I think it's to go with out saying. We all do." One of them said smirking.

"Then have some fun." He said pushing me towards his friends. One of them grabbed my wrist while the others hands started moving towards me.

"Stop!" Miguel yelled angrily. One of them lifted my chin, and moved his mouth closer. I tried to move away, but I couldn't. A tear slid down my face just when his lips were about to touch mine. I stopped resisting and gave in knowing that there are to many.

Miguel got a sudden burst of power and threw the people holding him. The guy that was about to kiss me moved his eyes toward Miguel. He quickly slammed his lips onto mine, and the guy holding me let go.

He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and the other to keep me facing him. But he kept his eyes on Miguel.
