After a few minutes of small talk, Jun accompanied Mizuki back to the main house. She, however, was annoyed.

"How many times do I have to tell you?! Just because everyone else treats me as if I'm glass doesn't mean that I want you to too!" ranted Mizuki.

"I'm not really giving you special treatment though," replied Jun.

"What were you doing anyway? Aren't you supposed to chopping some firewood or something? What do you even do as work?" joked Mizuki.

"Ha...ha...ha," said Jun. He did feel somewhat relieved though. He could no longer feel the dark aura seeping out of her.

Just as they were about to reach the main house, Mizuki's aunt suddenly appeared.

"YOU!!" hissed her aunt vehemently as she walked towards them.

Before they could react, the woman raised her arm and hit Mizuki. She flew to the ground. Her lip cracked from the impact and started bleeding. Mizuki's left cheek was very red and would undoubtedly bruise.

"You are about to be married and I see you flirting with a lowly servant?! KNOW YOUR PLACE! You don't even deserve the dirt. Just because you're getting married doesn't mean that you are wanted. Hmph!" ranted her aunt.

Mizuki knelt on the ground, bowed her head and stayed silent. Jun felt as though he should interfere but instead bowed slightly and stayed that way.

After her aunt finished, she instructed Hana (the head maid) to fix the makeup and make sure that nothing seemed out of place.

No one noticed the solitary tear that rolled down a bruised cheek.
