It has only been a week but so much has happened since we won sectionals. Some good and some not so good.
"Melanie." Rachel's calls. "Wake up it is time for school."
"I'm awake. I'll be down in thirty minutes. Just have to shower, dress and do my makeup"
"Don't take to long. I have to make breakfast and I have a gift for you " She responds
"Okay. Be down soon"
I take a quick shower. Put on the clothes I had chosen yesterday. Put on my foundation,eyeshadow and eyeliner. And text my boyfriend good morning and grab my backpack before heading downstairs.
I walk downstairs "Rachel. What is the big surprise huh?"
I walk down and place my bag on the couch. Seeing Rachel in her chair in the dining room at the table facing me. Then a long haired woman sitting across. I make myself known and she turns around
I smile with the shock also setting on my face "Mom?? What? How? How are you here? Are you Okay? How do you feel? So many questions are coming out of my mouth. I don't give her time to answer them because next I know. I run to hug her but back away because I still might hurt her.
"I missed you so much Melanie. So many Questions all of sudden" *Shelby laughs* " Well. The therapy ran it's course. I am getting better slowly. They said I can come home. Well we can come home but I have to go for more treatments every Thursday. And I feel better. Like a weight has been lifted off of me. I just can't wait to go home. You and me again"
Rachel speaks up
"Well Mel. I have had the opportunity to pack all your things. And if you ever want to staybrhe night. Your bed and some of your clothes. Will be waiting for you.
"Thanks Sis" I say "I'll see you at glee club rehearsal right?"
"Of course. See you soon "
Melanie walks out the door a few minutes later. A suitcase and duffle bag In hand. We say our final goodbyes. I know I'll see her again tomorrow. But it is the fact that the house is now so silent. With gonna being and now Melanie being gone. All I hear is the vacant sound of this two story house. I have never felt more alone. All my friends with families. Or with there loved ones and I Rachel berry, am here, still.in Lima. I just want my Finn back
