Third Person's POV
It started just like any other day, with the sun peeking through her curtains. The clock read 7:49 A.M. She groaned as she got up to prepare herself. Another regular day, for she thought it was, but not this time. She grabbed her phone that was on her nightstand and hurriedly went outside her room to make herself some breakfast. As she was eating her breakfast, her phone vibrated to see someone was calling her.
"Hey Heather!" a cheerful voice came up.
"Yeah what's up?" Heather asked. It was her friend, Micah who called.
"I just wanted to know if you are already okay. How are you? It's been almost a week since the last time I saw you here." Micah asked.
"Oh, I'm okay. Everything's good. I'm feeling better now. Don't worry, as soon as I'm feeling completely good I'll sure be back!"
"That's so good to hear. Text me when you will be back okay and do not forget to drink your medicines."
"Yeah, I know. It's just a fever. Nothing will happen to me." Heather assured her.
"But maybe it is something. You'll never know. Take care okay?" Micah said.
"Okay. Bye."
Then they both hung up. When Heather finished eating, she consumed the prescribed medicines that her doctor gave her and then went back to sleep. She's been absent for almost a week due to high fever and frequent headaches. Maybe it's due to stress. She thought of it as something okay and that will surely fade.
3 days had passed. She felt well and she decided to go back to work. Of course, as a hotel manager, It's her duty to work on a full mode. Interacting with people is a tough job for her. Ever since she was young, she actually never thought of having friends for her own. She actually seemed threatened by the fact that her parents wanted her to be the best she could be and by that, she must be serious and must be focused in her studies. Having friends was a big No for her. She persevere to be a consistent honor student. Her childhood was never been great and her parents weren't really supportive because they're always busy.
"Look who we have here?" Micah came approaching.
"I'm feeling good now. Look, my fever is gone. I told you it was nothing." Heather replied with a grin on her face.
"Well I see (laughs) hurry and we'll have to deal with many people wanting reservations." Micah jokingly said dragging Heather towards the main hall.
"Oh God! Not again" Heather sighed.
Around 11:30 NN, Heather had her lunch together with her friends and the other co-workers.
She suddenly felt her phone vibrated. It's an email for her.
'Ms. Heather Penelope Lilac:
As one of the student council of batch 2004, You are invited to be one of the people who might be able to helping the preparation of the upcoming reunion, July 15,2016.
Hope you'll be there!
There, in her phone was the email sent by Masie, one of her dearest best friend.
Wait. A reunion? She wasn't really into that sort of things but the thought of meeting her best friends there kind of excite her. The entire time, she was unceasingly checking her phone for maybe some updates or news but either of it showed up. She's already losing hope for she thought of it as a joke or someone was planning to prank her but she realized that it's way far that she will be tricked by someone so she continued to wait for further announcements though deep inside, her heart was delighted for she was really excited to see her best friends.
