Intro Note About This Version
Hello all other readers and writers! I would like to point out that converting my original manuscript to a .txt file has eliminated my italices used for thought indication or empheses throughout my work. I apologize if it makes certain parts more difficult to follow when it comes to frequent or sudden thoughts, especially while my Barbosa character is speaking through thought or the main character, Opren is thinking aside from my narrative. I hope this is not a large inconvenience for anyone, but I do not have the time currently to go through every bit of the book and correct this overall error, as I am working on marketing the physical book and official ebook while also writing the second book in the series and other things. I personally dislike this formatting, but it is neat enough that I hope it doesn't really bother anyone. I also apologize the chapters do not start anew on a new page, but I am going to be working on fixing that issue (so far I have failed due to not actually being able to see the html in the editor and Word-style editing does not work in this program and file format). If you wish to have a better looking version, please go to Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com or Xlibris.com and purchase the actual book. Thanks for reading and I hope you all truly enjoy the beginning of my story!

Prologue
The young man walked into the strange bookstore with purpose. This new discovery was bugging him all night and he really wanted to find out if the rumor was true- did this shop have the book he was looking for? He walked up to the counter and introduced himself, extending a hand. The shopkeeper took it, looking at him strangely. This may have been because of his hair- or maybe because of his attire- but neither was the expectation. He suspected something else very different from "the norm".
"Do you have the Book of Magical Science?" he asked the shopkeeper.
"I do. Why are you searching for it? And is that really all you came for? I know who you are, boy. You can't have come here for a book anyone can buy for only twenty-five dollars. Don't think I don't know what you are doing," the owner replied. "We book enthusiasts tend to communicate and the others told me you might be visiting my shop soon." He continued to give that strange look as he spoke rather hoarsely.
"Good job, sir. I have come for two books, actually. The other is one, I have been told, can only be found in your shop, and will not be sold. My question is why not sell it? Also, why does only one copy exist around here?"
"You can't possibly mean-" the shopkeeper began, but the young man finished for him.
"Yes. The Legend of the Goldspell. Is it a legend? My research has led me to believe otherwise."
"I will not give you that book!" snapped the old man.
"I'm not actually asking, and I need it, so please do this the easy way."
"Never!" the old man snapped again, this time seeming to growl a little. He threw up a hand and a shelf of books was thrown into the younger man forcefully.
"Warlock!" the younger man yelled as he stood, somehow throwing the shelf of books off of himself. His strange outfit glowed in several places and he raised a hand. "Stop running or it will be your last dash!" He targeted the old warlock as the man ran up a small flight of stairs, attempting to open a case behind a picture. "You were warned," said the young man as he shot some sort of energy from his palm, slamming the older man into the wall as he attempted to run from the shop through the back door. He dropped something that shined slightly as it fell. The young man walked over and picked up the object- a gold-covered book. He lifted it and held a light from his wrist up to it, reading the title- The Legend of the Goldspell. He dropped a few one hundred dollar bills on the man's unconscious body and returned to the shelf that had landed on him earlier, rummaging through the mess.
