Every Friday in gym class we have a thing called fitness Friday where we have like 15 minutes of doing walking or running and 15 minutes of doing things like sit-ups and all that kinda stuff.

Theres a new girl that is really cringeworthy but she is alright to talk to most of the time. I'll call her Jackie (just gonna reuse that name). While I was walking with her she started criticizing peoples looks. I thought to myself "Okay, yeah thats true but why?." Then she starts criticizing peoples weight. Calling people overweight. This one kid that was profusely running for the past at least 5 minutes starts to walk in front of us instead of running. He also happens to be a new kid and I don't know much about him but he seems pretty chill. Anyways- she pointed to him and said in a loud enough voice for him to hear something about him being overweight. At that point I was finished. The kid was somebody I'd be cool with befriending so what if he thought what Jackie said came outta my mouth. Like seriously. And that kid started running again. And to add on to the bullshit the kids weight was fine. He wasn't even like heavy looking or anything. Yeah, he mighta had a little muffin top but that isn't overweight at all. I thought that kid was gonna hurt himself by running so much.

I feel like as a self-conscious teenager that teens should be building each other up instead of tearing each other down. It wouldn't hurt anybody at all to compliment somebody once in awhile.

People also need to learn when to keep their mouths shut and when things are necessary to say and unnecessary. Sometimes people just need to shut their yapper and think about what they say before they say it.
