When somebody breaks out the age old question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" it makes me want to break down and cry. I am in 8th grade (9th now) and people expect me to know what I want to spend the rest of my life doing. I honestly don't even know where I'd want to start or what I would like doing.
Why are kids and teens expected to know what they want to do for a job. I freak the fuck out when a teacher asks that and I am the only one to say "Oh.. I have no clue at all." It just makes me feel like I am the only one that doesn't know and I don't like the feelings I get from that question. I just need me a bit more time to think about career choice. Like I'm not even sure if I will successfully finish high school. I might decide to sell my body on the streets and do some meth half way through.
