Christmas

I dont really enjoy christmas. My reasons are:

Advertisement- It is advertised so much that it isn't fun anymore. The stores put christmas items out in mid OCTOBER~ I understand that people need to buy things in advance so they still have money or whatever but October is way too soon. Christmas music starts going around probably right before Thanksgiving and that is too much christmas for me. I think Christmas items shouldnt be placed in stores until after Thanksgiving and that the music shouldnt be able to start until December. There is almost a month to celebrate christmas just in December. Why take up another month advertising and overdoing christmas. (I realize now that Black Friday shopping is a thing so I think Christmas items should be set out the week of Thanksgiving)

Jolly- "Tis the season to be jolly" nah man okay. Sorry to rain on your parade but my seasonal sadness starts swinging around due to snow, darkness, school, and just the cold in November. By December I'm just a mess and I really don't feel like being happy.

Family- I'm pretty sure we all have that one uncle who is insane or probably a rapist or some shit. Unless you are that one uncle? Anyways I hate him so fucking much okay. He is so rude and disrespectful and he isn't even blood related to me so he doesnt even have a real right to be there. (I suppose he does but why does he have to be such an asshole when he is. His family stays at my Great Grandmas house and causes her a shitload of stress.) His kids are also super stuck up and assholeish. I also don't like everybody doing the "Oh you've grown so much, omg you are so cute" thing either. I do enjoy seeing my sane family members although there arent many of those. I am also extremely anti-social and awkward so all the people there my age or around my age that I don't see often I have a hard time communicating with. Even if I do want to talk to them.

Presents- Yeah, everybody likes getting gifts but most of the gifts you get from distant family will never be used. For example, those boxes containing lotion and stuff~yeah. You know those. They just sit in your bathroom taking up space forever. The only real use for them is giving them to somebody else next year. The thing I hate about presents is that you feel the need to pretend you enjoy what you get even if its like a dora funhouse and your like 20. It also sucks when somebody gets you something you wanted years back or something you already had. The presents that you want or are useful or fun or just something you've never tried before. If I received a box of german chocolate or something like that i'd be a lot happier with that than a box of lotions.

The presents you do get that are useful or you want are really cool and if you have parents in the military or something they usually get to come home for a few days so thats awesome. I honestly enjoy spending the time with my mom around Christmas and all of the yummy pies and other food but I think it is way too overdone in stores and stuff.
