Chapter 26

Zac's POV
After a month..

She left us.

She was so damn happy before she left us. I was happy too but thinking na wala na siya sobrang sakit e. Lahat kami apektado, siya source ng happiness namin e. Her jolliness, it brings light to the family.

"Anak..." Papa said. "Hindi magugustuhan ng mama mo na ganan ka."

"Pa *sobs* wala na *sobs* si Mama." I said in between my cry. Nasa hospital kami ngayon.

"Anak, she's happy na. Tsaka she needs rest na. Hindi naman natin siya pinabayaan e." He explained while trying not to cry. I just gave him a smile.

Lumapit sakin sila Den. She's carrying Beanj. "Hon, stop crying. Mama is happy now." she said.

"Dad, why are you crying?" he asked.

"Nak, di umiiyak si Daddy nagkaroon lang ng dust yung eyes ko." Nagpalusot ako.

"I love you both." I said.

Pinauwi ko muna sila sa bahay and inayos namin nila Ate ang burol ni Mama. We want it to be simple.

I saw texts from the gang saying condolence and pinapalakas loob ko. Nakareceive din ako ng texts from Den's family and syempre galing sa asawa ko.

From: Wifey

Hon, stay strong okay? We're here for you. I love you. Lets talk later. :*

To: Wifey

Thanks hon. I love you too. Okay :*

"I guess that's your wife huh?" a soft voice said.

"Yeaaah she made my day. Akala ko nga puro sadness all day e." I replied. Kilala ko na kausap ko e. That voice. That same voice that caused me pain in the past.

"I should've been that person Zac..." she said.

"Yeah, you could've but you left and I'm thank you for that Lau." I said with a little sadness. Its not that I want her back, nanghihinayang lang ako kasi we were so happy e.

"I'm sorry Zac. Let's fix us please?" she begged. I know she's sorry and sincere about it but I don't love her anymore. I love Den and I love Beanj.

"Im sorry too but you're 4 years late Lau. I have a family and they complete me." I explain to her.

" Ehem."

"Hon." I said tapos nilapitan ko siya and kiss her forehead. I know kanina pa siya dyan. She smiled to me then hugged me. She saw Laura kaya she greeted her too.

"Lau." she said then nod kay Lau.

"Den." sabi ni Lau tapos she also nod. I can feel the tension building up.

"I think I better go na." Laura said. "Zac, Den." she said tapos umalis na.

"Hon, you okay?" Den open the conversation. I know insecurities are eating her inside.

"I'm fine hon. Dont worry okay?" I said then gave her a smack sa lips. "Hon, you heard everything right?"

"Uhuh." hindi na niya mapigilan. Parking na kami. She hugged me tight and I can feel my chest getting wet. She's crying. Because me.

"Hon, shhh stop crying." I said then rubbed her back while kissing the top of her head.

"She's back hon. She still loves you." Alam ko puro insecurities na naiisip niya. Kaya I faced her.

"Hon, you and Beanj are more than enough. I wont leave you. Never." I said. Giving her assurance.

"I love you." she said.

"I love you too." I said then hugged her tight. "So, lets go to our baby huh? I bet he's already asleep." I said then smiled at her.

"Yeah, he's asleep. I left her to Fille muna. She insisted e." she said.

"Punta na tayo sa burial ni Mama? Handa nalang muna natin gamit natin." I said then sumakay na kami sa kotse.

"Yeah, I bet marami na tao dun." she said. The whole trip hawak ko lang kamay niya.

Inayos na namin ang aming mga gamit. Nakasakay na rin sa kotse sila Fille at Beanj. Naging close na rin kasi si Fille kay Mama kaya ganan siya. We arrived na sa burial ni mama. 7:30pm na. Marami na rin tao.

"Bunso." Ate Rach said tapos she hugged me. I can feel her pain.

"Ate, napakaiyakin. Ayaw ni mama ng ganan." I joked to lighten her mood. Wala si Kuya Josh nasa duty siguro. Sundalo yun e.

"Dad, why is mammita sleeping in that thing?" he asked. Binuhat ko na.kasi siya e nagising rin siya kanina.

"She's tired na kasi baby." I smiled while looking at Mama inside that coffin.

"Hon, lets eat na. Papa is here naman to entertain the visitors." sabi ni Den.

"Sure hon. Tara na." Pumasok kami sa loob ng venue pa. Kumain kami doon. Si Fille, inaantay pa si Gab sa labas.

"Hon, you okay?" she asked then held my hand. Nag sspace out na pala ako.

"Okay lang ako hon." Sabi ko tapos I gave her a peck on the lips.

"Ewww! Mom! Dad!" Beanj shouted. He really hates it when he sees us kissing. Den and I laughed sa reaction ng anak namin.

After the meal lumabas ulit kami ng venue at pinuntahan yung mga bisita. Some of my employees are here and syempre the gang are here kaso saglit lang sila kasi may mga gagawin sila bukas ng umaga. I saw Den na buhat si Beanj nakatulog siguro. I approached them tapos kinuha ko si Beanj. Nagpaalam na rin ako na patutulugin ko na muna mag ina ko.

Maraming pumunta at yung mga relatives nila Mama bukas pa dumating dahil masyado na rin gabi.

Bumilis ang araw. Nailibing na si Mama. Everybody shed a tear. I also talked to Laura about us and cleared na we are not going back to the old us. I'm happy with my Dennise and Beanjamin.

Flashback of our wedding

Ate Rach: Let's now call the newly weds for their message.

Ate Rach handed me the mic.

"So. Umh, I really dont know where to start." I said shyly.

"Message na!" sigaw ni Papa sabay taas ng baso ng champagne.

"Ummh, Dennise Michelle. My Dennise Michelle. Wow, after all the struggles just to find you? Honey, your a Valdez na. Na-imagine ko na ito the moment I fell inlove with you. We started from the wrong foot at doon the baby came. Si Beanj. I was panicking that time babe. I don't know what to do pero somehow we managed to survive that with the help of our friends and family syempre. Babe, I promise to do better for us. I may not be the best guy in town but I'll try my best to beat that best guy in town. *everyone laughed* Mrs Valdez, I love you forever and always." I said then kiss her.

"Ehem, babe? Wow? Im a Valdez. Actually crush talaga kita since then well sino ba ang hindi. I'm so lucky to have you Zac. I'm sorry if I caused you pain before but I promise not to leave you again. You're my life Zac, kayong dalawa ni Beanj. I dont want long messages babe kaya I love you forever and always babe."

This is our story. Nung una puro struggles and all pero we survived it. My promise to my Dennise is to Love her Forever and Always.
