@ksimonforjigglyjide requested ksimon so here goes :) I hope you like it :)

Pushing the door of his home of two years open Simon realised that it didn't feel like home at all anymore. It was a shell of the place it used to be. The sound of his shoes hitting the floor echoed around the house weirdly. The house was empty, there was no mess in sight, no pile of shoes by the door, no randomly placed snapbacks. There was nothing, the house was a shell of the home it used to be. Worst of all it was tainted by Simon's memories of how it had once been. It used to be alive with people, shouts ringing through the entire house, someone always around, the house had always been vibrant, filled with life.

Simon didn't know what had gone so wrong. The moment he realised something had gone wrong was when JJ hadn't visited the house he apparently lived in for six months, when Vik packed his room away and moved away, when Josh two weeks later did the same, when Simon became the sole inhabitant of the once bustling house.

"Simon?" a voice called out from the doorway, a voice Simon hadn't heard in months, a voice that froze Simon in place on the stairs. "What are you doing here?"

Simon closed his eyes tightly wincing as the memories flooded back. "I was in the area" he choked out eventually.

The person breathed heavily. "How've you been?"

Simon made a pathetic noise in his throat. "I've been better"

The person hummed in agreement. "What are you doing these days?"

"Nothing" Simon answered bluntly.

"Simon why won't you look at me?"

Simon ignored the question and kept his back to the person with his eyes tightly closed.

"I guess I deserve this" The person sighed. "I'm sorry about everything"

"JJ stop, please just go" Simon said shakily.

"No, I need to say this. I've regretted that day for months now. I have to tell you this" JJ said firmly.

"JJ"

"I'm sorry I ran. I was scared, I didn't know what to think, let alone what to say" JJ said seriously. "Look what I'm trying to say is I love you Simon and I hope you can forgive me someday for running like I did"

Simon wrapped his arms tightly around himself as he opened his eyes and turned to face JJ who looked up at him hopefully. "Everything fell apart, you were meant to be my best friend, you left without a word and didn't come back" Tears began to slip from Simons eyes.

"I wanted to come back" JJ mumbled pitifully.

"You didn't that's what matters"

"I'm back for good. I'll always be around when you need me no matter how long it takes"

"I've always needed you JJ"

JJ looked at Simon carefully. Simon looked hurt there was no doubt about that. Here he was teary eyed and wrapped around himself tightly. The blonde boy looked like he would rather be anywhere else. But as JJ's eyes met Simon's JJ knew he still had a chance. Simon still looked at JJ the way he always had, with a mixture of curiosity and love hidden beneath all of the sadness. With that revelation JJ made up his mind. He walked towards Simon slowly giving the older man a chance to walk away.

Simon didn't move until JJ was face to face with him when he looked into JJ's eyes for a second then collapsed into his friend of so many years' arms.

"I got you" JJ whispered several times into Simons ears as he held the blonde man tightly and soothingly rubbed his arm. "I love you Simon, I'm sorry I couldn't say that before"

"I love you too" Simon whispered turning his head to press a kiss to JJ's cheek.
