19. I'm selfish and I'm an asshole for wanting you to stay with me. But I need you, I really fucking need you.
It started during one of your late night talks you had after Bucky woke from his nightmares. It had become sort of tradition between you two. You would sit up in bed cuddling, giggling, kissing and just admit random things to each other, although some of the things you two say should probably make you both rethink your relationship, it brought the both of you closer.
Rolling over to the empty space next to you woke you from your slumber, you looked around and shielded your eyes from the light coming from the bathroom. Through the open door you could see Bucky looking in the mirror in front of him with his hands clenching the counter, sweat evident on his back. Slowly moving out of bed and towards him, pushing the door open you took steps towards him and wrapped your arms around his waist, leaning your forehead on the middle of his back. Shifting your hands so that your hands came up his stomach and lay on his shoulders, you placed a kiss on his back and murmured, "I broke that cup last week."
His hands loosened their grip of the counter and came to rest on your forearm. "I know, Angel." You hands fell to his sides and you slowly turned him around knowing he could stop you if he really wanted to. Once he was facing you, you took hold of his hands, playing with his fingers and pulled him out of the bathroom and back to bed.
An hour later you two were still awake, lying down in bed, basking in the comfortable silence between only breaking it to admit something to the other. Bucky had one arm on your waist, holding you against him, the other under his head. You were drawing small indistinct patterns on his chest when he said it. "I'm selfish and I'm an asshole for wanting you to stay with me. But I need you, I really fucking need you." You took a moment to let his words sink in, then looked up at him, meeting his eyes and speaking in a clear, confident tone, "I really fucking need you too." You leaned up to place your lips on his, pulling back to lay your head on his chest and say, "I love you Bucky."
"I love you Angel."
