'Hey Darcy?' Max asks down the phone, we are calling very awkwardly. I am home now sitting in my living room with my legs up doing my Maths homework. 'Yeah?' I reply trying to figure what is x. 'Do you want to come to town, Sunday?' He asks very nervously, I can tell as he gulps in the middle of the sentence. 'Yeah sure, outside McDonalds 11:00?' I answered quickly as I had been wanting a McDonald's all day. 'Ok cya then,' he ends the call and texts me bye xx. I roll my eyes.
Sunday comes fast, and in a blur too, me and Max ate our McDonalds and decided to walk to the park. 'So I see your playing football now, what happened to rugby?' I ask as he leads us left into a path that leads across the roadside, 'Well I quit rugby and since they don't play that I thought I might join in.' Max explains.
We go into the park the back way which I've never used before. The grass of the park is gleaming under the hot sun. 'Do you know what I think?' Max asks as we sit down under a shadowy tree. 'What?' I question him, 'I think Amy was flirting with Ray today.' He says, I look at him and raise my eyebrows, 'Well him and Amy broke up in the summer holidays, but now they are going back out and their going to the park like all the time!' I say, 'So while they are canoodling I'm trying to walk home with out dying!' I look at Max as he laughs at me.
I look at my watch and scream, 1:58 it says, 'look I would stay but I have to go I said I would meet my mum at two at the other side of town!' He calms me down and says, 'I'll walk you half way I have to go pick up something anyway,' We walk to the middle of town and split up, we wave and walk off.
