'Morning, Small one,' Jay said to me as I walked up to him. Jay was very excited when he found out that I was smaller than him because he had never had a girlfriend smaller than him. 'Morning Young one,' I said once I hugged him.
I shivered as it was only 3 degrees. January was a very cold month. Jay has this thing when he only holds his coat and not wears even if it's -10 degrees. He calls it "Decoration".
Six of us are standing in a circle, next to Jay is Emma, her wavy blonde hair flying in the wind. After that it follows Max then Benji his ginger hair showing out fron the grey clouds. Benji is dating Emily who I have mentioned before, she is a stunning tall girl and she also never wears a coat and just stands in her skinny jeans and Vans bag.
When Jay was about to open his mouth to say something he gets knocked over by two boys both quite small. I recognised them at one the two boys who's shot into his back at Christmas. I now know there names of course. One is Wayne, who is even smaller than me and has short blonde hair and looks a bit like a goblin. The over is a boy called Toby, he had brown hair and big square glasses. He gets on everyone's nerves apart from the time in PSE when he told us the story of sexy Spanish dogs and a gypsy. But that story is for another time.
Toby adjusts his glasses and puts on a crooked small at me and Jay and says, 'I dare you to kiss, all the others have,' I stare at him as this was out of the blue. He is telling the truth, Max and Emma have kissed countless times in front of me and even Emily and Benji say they have twice.
I look at Jay who is staring at Emma for some reason. I laugh and then say, 'Why?' And then Toby goes into a massive speech which I'm not going to repeat because I have no idea what age you are and I don't want to ruin your life with Toby and Emily's (who has joined in) language.
I sigh and then put my hands in front of me and say, 'Fine if you two can shut up for ten seconds then fine.' Toby opens his mouth at me then puts his arm over it. Emily counts to ten.
'Fine then,' I say and Jay looks at me awkwardly and I just shrug my shoulders.
I'm going to say that wasn't the romantic kiss I was hoping for. But it will have to do. When I look round I realise I'm crowed by Cammie, Emily, Toby and Wayne and no one else is there. I looked around and up a couple of stairs round the corner is Benji, Emma and Max.
I stare at them then Emma puts he arm around me and takes up more steps. 'Don't be mad,' she says, 'But Benji said Jay wouldn't kiss you if I was about,' I stare at her, 'But please don't go off him because of me.'
I stare into space for a few seconds thinking this over, then I realise. Even if I'm over Max, it doesn't mean Jay is over Emma. Jay isn't in love with me, he's in love with Emma.
