Your pov.

You woke up and realized it was the weekend, so you decided to rewatch your 2nd favorite anime for the 3rd time. You hear a knock on the front door, and you were about to get up to go answer it, but someone had already done that.

"OH, METTATON! WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE!"

Mettaton?

You decided to lower the volume on your anime a bit and listen to the conversation.

"Hello, Papy, dearest!"

Then you heard them kiss. Yuck.

"WHAT BRINGS YOU TO MY HUMBLE HOME?"

"I just wanted to see you before I go to work today."

"REALLY? WELL, THAT IS MIGHTY NICE OF YOU!"

"Yes, well I also felt bad after yesterday, so I-"

"WHAT? WHAT DID YOU DO YESTERDAY?"

Silence.

Oh great. Here comes the overly-attatched boyfriend.

"Uh...I mean..."

It didn't take long for Papyrus to catch on. "WERE YOU HANGING OUT WITH THE HUMAN?"

"Well, yes...we went on a friend da-"

"YOU WENT ON A DATE WITH THE HUMAN??"

"A friend date, Papy. It didn't mean anything."

"SO YOU'RE SAYING YOU WOULD RATHER GO ON A DATE WITH THE HUMAN THAN ME?"

"Oh, no, Papy! I never said anything like-"

"SHALL I PUNISH THE HUMAN FOR THIS?"

"No, please! It was my idea and-"

"OH, SO IT WAS YOUR FAULT!"

Silence.

Papyrus's voice turned into a low growl. "I knew it."

Silence.

Then, you heard a loud clank, as though someone had dropped something.

Silence.

Then, you heard hurried footsteps, possibly rushing to stand up, and then you heard the door open and close.

You then decided to open the door and stick your head out your room.

"Papyrus? Is everything alright?"

Mettaton's pov.

I had decided to stop by and say hi to Papy before I went to work. It had been a few days and I was starting to miss him.

I knocked on the door and was imeadiatly greeted by the tall skeleton.

"OH, METTATON! WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE!"

Aww!

Papy is the type of skeleton that always manages to make me smile.

"Hello, Papy dearest!"

I closed the door behind me and gave Papy a quick kiss.

"WHAT BRINGS YOU TO MY HUMBLE HOME?"

"I just wanted to see you before I go to work today."

"REALLY? WELL THAT IS MIGHTY NICE OF YOU!"

I smiled even wider. "Yes, well I also felt bad after yesterday, so I-"

Suddenly I was cut off by Papy. "WHAT? WHAT DID YOU DO YESTERDAY?"

My smile slowly faded. I dare not tell him about the kiss on the cheek. "Uh...I mean..."

"WERE YOU HANGING OUT WITH THE HUMAN?"

I looked at the ground. "Well, yes...we went on a friend da-"

I was again cut off by Papyrus. "YOU WENT ON A DATE WITH THE HUMAN??"

"A friend date, Papy. It didn't mean anything."

"SO YOU'RE SAYING YOU WOULD RATHER GO ON A DATE WITH THE HUMAN THAN ME?"

I was taken by suprise at this. "Oh, no, Papy! I never said anything like-"

I was cut off yet again. "SHALL I PUNISH THE HUMAN FOR THIS?"

"No, please! It was my idea and-"

"OH, SO IT WAS YOUR FAULT!"

I stayed silent. Papyrus's voice was suddenly a low growl. "I knew it."

Everything was silent as he raised his hand high up, and swiftly striking it onto my face with a force that made me tumble.

I looked up at Papyrus, tears in my eyes. I tried to look into his eyes, but shadows were covering them like a blanket, making his usually cheerful smile into a fearful one.

Quickly, I stumbled onto my feet and left the house, leaning against the front door.

I heard a door open inside the house.

"Papyrus? Is everything alright?"

(Y/N).

I felt so happy to hear their voice. I couldn't go in to hug them, though. I didn't want to worry them.

Instead, I ran to my car and drove off in tears.
