Kori still remained pressed to Dargon's side as they made their way back to the flock.
"Someone's a bit clingy," Dargon said in a mocking tone.
Kori tripped him and he crashed face-first into the snow.
"I'm not clingy, I just can't see for shit in the dark."
Dargon pulled his face out of the snow. "Sure, whatever you say."
She shoved his head back into the snow. "What did I say about that flirty shit?"
"Sorry, I was just messing with you. Don't get upset."
"I'm already upset with you Dargon. You made me leave my kill behind and go back to the flock."
Dargon pulled his head out of the snow, once again shaking cold powder off of his face. "Well I don't expect we could've just dragged it back," He retorted.
They remained silent as they made their way back.
"Okay Kori, we're here," Dargon said in a hushed tone. "Can you find the way to your cave fine by yourself?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine."
Dargon continued to his cave, Kori still oddly next to him. "I thought you said that you could find your den by yourself."
"I can, you idiot. I reside in the cave next to yours." She scowled as she motioned at the cave next to his.
They neared their caves and each retreated into their own den.
Dargon curled up on the cold floor and thought about the day, quickly falling into a deep sleep.
Kori nudged him awake. "Dargon, get up! Wake up you lazy oaf!"
Dargon blinked lazily, yawning. "Kori, why did you come into my cave to wake me? You do know what someone else would think if they saw-"
She held his mouth shut. "Now that I've woken you, we wait for the alpha." She let go of his jaw.
Dargon pushed past her, looking outside. He hadn't been asleep all that long, judging by the position of the stars, and the alpha wouldn't be awake until sunrise. "Kori, we still have quite a while before he'll be awake." He turned around to an unconcious Kori in his cave.
Sighing heavily, he settled down next to her and watched the entrance. She snuggled close to him in her sleep. 'Heh, not clingy my ass.'
