The moment they’d gotten back to the dorms Hyun Ae went straight for her math books. Whenever she was stressed she solved equations hoping she would somehow get the answer to her own problem. She didn’t care that it was almost three in the morning.
“Babe talk to me.” Libby said snatching away her math book.
Hyun Ae sighed and looked over at AJ’s sleeping figure. The little girl had been in a sour mood when they got back and had gone straight to bed.
“Looks like we all had a bit of a rough night.” Libby commented when she noticed Hyun Ae staring at AJ.
“Do you know what happened to her? She seemed fine earlier.” Hyun Ae said.
“Don’t know. Now stop changing the subject. I already told you what went down with Her Royal Bitchiness; it’s your turn now.” Libby said.
Hyun Ae tapped her fingers on her desk. She could already feel tears pooling up in her eyes. She’d been ignoring Sehun’s calls all night.
“I caught Sehun kissing Paris.” Hyun Ae confessed. Libby was stunned. She did not expect that at all.
“Paris Langston? Fatima’s minion?” she asked not quite believing what she was hearing. “Do I need to go kill a bitch?” Libby asked. Hyun Ae laughed despite herself but it was miserable laugh.
“Oh hon, I’m so sorry. You’re the last person in the world who deserves this.” Libby sympathised, pulling her friend into a tight hug. Hyun Ae broke down crying.
“The fudged up part is we were so close to getting back together. I was going to tell him we should get back together, I was ready to finally be serious with him and stop this on-off thing we had going. I thought...” an ugly sob rocked through her.
Libby rubbed soothing circles on her back. What a night this was turning out to be; Sehun cheating on Ae and there was a very real possibility that Ren might be two-timing her as well.
After Hyun Ae cried herself to sleep, Libby donned a robe and her bunny sleepers. There was something she had to do before she could sleep. As she opened the door, she heard some whimpering; at first she thought it might be Hyun Ae. When she checked, Hyun Ae was sleeping peacefully, it was AJ who was turning restlessly in her sleep but then she settled and Libby left.
One of the things Libby loved about GSA was that the dorms were co-ed. There was no such thing as girls’ dorms and boys’ dorms. The rooms were all mixed up so she didn’t have to walk from one building to another in the chilly night air. Luckily for her Sehun’s room was only a floor above theirs. Libby knocked a few times before Suho opened the door in nothing but his pyjama pants.
“Libby what-”“Where is he?” Libby demanded pushing the door open. Sehun and Kai both stood up immediately. It looked like they were having a conversation.
“Do none of you own a shirt?” Libby asked when she noticed that all three were shirtless.
“What are you doing here Libby?” Kai inquired tiredly.
“I came to see this good for nothing jerk. What the hell happened Sehun?” she asked.
“It’s not what you think. I can explain.” He stuttered.
“It better be a damn good explanation. I just watched my best-friend cry her heart out.”
“We’ll...er give you some privacy.” Suho said as he and Kai put on some shirts.
“Thanks Suho,” Libby said. “Start talking,” she instructed Sehun after they left.

AJ struggled to fall back to sleep. The dream she’d just had kept replaying in her mind. It wasn’t a nightmare. Actually it was more of a bittersweet memory, of the time Chen told her he loved her. She remembered that day clear as day; Chen had asked her to meet him at the park a few blocks from their neighbourhood.
Originally she had planned to come clean to him and tell him that that was probably the last day they would see each other. She hadn’t expected him to profess his love for her. She was so shocked but she couldn’t bring herself to say it back. Love was such a big word to be throwing around at the age of fifteen.
In the end she’d left South Korea the next day with her parents without saying a word to him. She told herself that she was sparing him from any pain. But the truth was that, she was a coward that had no idea exactly what she felt for him.
And here she was back again, still as confused as she was two years ago. To make things worse, she was pretty sure she was slightly attracted to Kai. Okay it was more than slightly attracted, all he had to do was breath in her direction and she got all hot and bothered. How that happened she had no idea, but then again she’d seen the way girls looked at Kai. He was a pretty damn fine specimen and the way he danced too could tempt a nun to sin.
“Dating ban AJ. Remember the dating ban.” She whispered to herself when her thoughts started getting carried away. She suddenly felt too hot and stuffy so she changed into a pair of yoga pants and a tank top as quietly as she could and sneaked out of the room.
She thought of going to Suga’s room but he and his roommates wouldn’t appreciate being woken up this late. She thought about going back for her camera but she was already out of the dormitory building. Then she remembered a place Suga usually napped at if Namjoon and Taehyung were being too loud. The greenhouse rooftop.
It was strange walking through the school grounds late at night. There were a few people loitering around, probably still a bit drunk from the party. Luckily no one stopped to talk to her.
She prayed the greenhouse wasn’t locked. Luck was on her side; the door had been left slightly open. Maybe Suga was up there. She took some time to admire the beauty of the flowers under the moonlight. She spotted some carnations that were blooming, her favourite flowers.
As she ascended the stairs to the rooftop she could hear some music playing. She recognised it as that new Zayn Malik song Pillowtalk. As she opened the door to the roof she saw a figure dancing under the moonlight.
Kai.
