Kai was caught somewhere between shock and wanting to laugh as Sehun sat opposite him at breakfast. "Is this a phase?" he inquired as he took in Sehun's rainbow coloured hair.

"This is me celebrating my newly found freedom. Keep up would you!" Sehun chided before digging into his food.

"Yes your highness." Kai deadpanned. The two of them ate in silence for a while. Usually Hyun Ae and Taemin would eat with them, but Teamin was busy preparing for his debut and Hyun Ae was avoiding both of them.

How is it that he ended up getting punished for Sehun's mistakes? Kai mused wryly. Or maybe she'd had enough of listening to him whine about AJ he mused.

"I mean;" Sehun said slamming his chopsticks on the table, "Why shouldn't I make the most of my freedom? No more having to worry about how my actions will affect her, I can go out as much as I like. I can hang out with as many chicks as I want without feeling guilty. This is the life man! I should have gone solo a long time ago." Sehun said rather too enthusiastically for Kai's taste.

"In fact, let's go out tonight. Two hot young dudes with nothing tying them down and enjoying life." Sehun continued.

At first he'd been depressed, trying everything he could to get Hyun Ae back. Then he was pissed that she refused to acknowledge him, then he was depressed again and now he told himself that he didn't care. This was a good thing for him, guys his age shouldn't be tied down in a lifelong commitment. No, he was supposed to be having fun, sowing his wild oats as they say.

"No thanks." Kai said his gaze involuntarily shifting to a certain table across the cafeteria.

"C'mon. Don't be such a downer." Sehun encouraged.

"Are you sure you're over Ae?" Kai asked.

"Hundred percent. I don't need someone who's constantly doubting my loyalty. Girls are more trouble than they're worth if you ask me. Just look at you." He pointed out.

"Me?" Kai spluttered.

"Yes. How long are you going to be miserable over that AJ brat? Trust me you're not missing out on much. I don't even know why you like her, she's way too full of herself." He said, distaste colouring his voice.

"Will you ever tell me why you hate AJ  so much?" Kai laughed thinking about the curses that would spill from Sehun's mouth whenever he and AJ had been forced to interact.

"Hate is a strong word. I call it a mutual dislike. That brat may look all cute, but underneath that baby face of hers is the devil himself. Maybe she and Kyunsoo-hyung are rela..." Sehun's voice trailed off as his eyes locked on Hyun Ae who had walked over to AJ's table and was making goo-goo eyes at Kim friggin Namjoon.

"What the actual fuck? What is she doing there? Why's her skirt so short? Has it always been that short? Did you see that? Namjoon is totally checking her ass out!" Sehun said shooting up from his seat. He was about to storm over there when Kai pulled him back.

"I thought you were over her." Kai smirked.

"What?" Sehun asked a bit disorientated.

Kai sighed, "If you go over there now you'll cause a scene and she'll be madder than she was before. Walk it off buddy." He said patting Sehun's back.

"But why is she with that dimpled face know-it-all jerk?" Sehun demanded.

"Remember when you said you can hang out with whoever you want now that you're single? Same rules apply to Ae. Now stop glaring at them."

"F-fine." Sehun said sitting back down reluctantly. He didn't take his eyes of that table all through breakfast, and neither did Kai as they observed Hyun Ae and AJ respectively.
