I was left with a lot of information to sort through after Kai left me alone on the school rooftop. He had given me almost too much to think about at once.

First off, a mad, crazy wolf was inside of me and wants to take my whole body over and wreck everything.

Second, the whole werewolf pack has orders to stay away from me because of how dangerous I am. Of course, Kai has special orders to watch me so I at least had someone to talk to.

Third, and finally, I needed to learn how to control the wolf inside of me. This was the hardest piece of information to process. How could I control something so evil and terrifying? Kai said he would help, but I was beginning to think that it wasn't very safe for me to be around people.

When I eventually left the rooftop, I had skipped the rest of the class where I had accidentally broke the desk. (Whoops...) I met the teacher for that specific class in the hallway and he stopped me.

"Was something the matter, Ms. Wolf, that you had to leave in the middle of class so urgently?" Mr. Harold questioned me in his stiff voice. He always seemed to want to talk so formally in a condescending manner. It was rather irritating.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Harold," I began to lie a little, "an emergency came up and I had to go to the bathroom immediately."

Mr. Harold observed me closely for a few seconds before responding, "I assume something was wrong with your desk. It gave quite a scare to the classroom when it suddenly smashed to the ground. I had the janitor move it and replace it with another one so you can comfortably study in the future."

I smothered a smile that attempted to break out at Mr. Harold's explanation for the reason of my desk breaking. "Thank you. A new desk is perfect." I almost gave a little bow at Mr. Harold's sincerity before walking away down the hall.

I began to head towards the cafeteria for my lunch because I had quickly realized I was famished, but something stopped me. It wasn't actually "something" that caused me to pause, but a "sense."

Naturally, I now knew to be aware of everything my body was doing in case the wolf was trying something. I decided to follow my sense carefully and to see where it would take me.

I felt led down a few different hallways away from the cafeteria and soon found myself in a small hallway with a few classrooms. I had never been on this side of Darren High School and felt a little uncertain as to where I was going.

Walking slowly down the hallway, I passed by each classroom door carefully to see if my senses were leading me to a specific room. I reached my hand out and traced it on the wall as I walked. I was being led further and further down the hallway with no definite destination.

"Hannah?" Kai's familiar voice rang out from behind me.

I paused in surprise at how close he was behind me. I hadn't even noticed his approach since I was concentrating on following my senses so closely. Without responding to Kai, I proceeded moving forward down the hallway, my hand tracing the walls and doors.

"What are you doing? We should go eat lunch." Kai caught up to my side and smiled easily at my face. I didn't look into his eyes directly. Something wasn't right. My senses were almost screaming at me to keep going.

Still without responding, I plodded forward until my hand finally rested on the doorknob to one of the classroom doors towards the end of the hallway. Without hesitating, I turned the knob and prepared to pull the door open.

I was shocked when Kai suddenly put his hand on the door and prevented me from opening it.

"Aw, come on Hannah! Let's just go eat lunch! They're serving pizza today and we don't want to miss out!"
