(3 Months since Hannah's Disappearance)

Kai's POV:

Hannah, when are you coming back? Where have you gone?

I paced endlessly in front of the Alpha. These past few months have left me upset, frazzled, and worried about Hannah's sudden disappearance.

"Kai, calm down." The Alpha growled at me. I immediately forced myself to get a grip on my growing frustration. "Now, tell me the recent report on Hannah."

"Amber's group has found a little bit of possible evidence that Hannah's been heading up to the Northern area. Michigan to be more specific. She talked with a pack up near the border that said a white wolf with a half purple face named Ava had passed through their land alone about a month ago. But that was a month ago! Hannah could be on the other side of the U.S. by now or up in Canada!"

"Have Amber's group keep trying to track her. You know it's urgent to find her and bring her back since she still has Rue. If Rue has completely taken her over, then Amber's top priority is to end it as quickly and quietly as possible." The Alpha grumbled sternly.

I stiffened. "There isn't anyway that Hannah would have let that happen."

"Kai," The Alpha looked at me sternly.

"I'm sorry, but I wouldn't be able to accept it if Hannah was gone." I kept my muzzle down to the ground in a remorseful action and the Alpha dismissed my lack of respect.

I trotted towards the city and home in a fury of frustration. The last three months had left me emotionally all over the place. So much had happened...

(Kai's flashback to the day Hannah disappeared)

I leaped back into the clearing to check to see if Hannah had made any progress. I had just ran around for a few short miles to stretch my muscles. It had been a few days since I let Key be free. Key was my wolf's name. He was a very energetic wolf and had a similar personality as mine.

Let's go see! I bet she's still sitting there naked! Key joked into my head.

Quit being perverted! I barked back at him lightheartedly.

Key had a silent crush on Hannah that had sort of rubbed off onto me. The more I was around her lately, the more she attracted me. It was hard to admit, but Aaron had set me off a little when he gave Hannah those looks.

I walked to the center of the clearing and confirmed she wasn't back here yet and must have been still trying.

Hmm, I wonder if she will be able to figure it out. She was really pretty as a white wolf. Key openly thought.

Before I could respond, I heard a loud fight break out in the woods a little ways from the clearing.

Hannah! I immediately assumed it was her and took off at lightning speed in the direction the fight came from.

What I arrived to stopped me in my tracks. A mangled grizzly bear sat lying on the ground with blood gushing out of its fatal neck wound. Wolf tracks littered the area. Key urged me to follow the tracks frantically.
