Jada woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. After she and Ben finished up on dinner, they later watched a movie on her couch until she fell asleep. She had wanted to stay up for as long as she could and really see where his head space was, but her body wouldn't let her. Scott had called her at least ten times, but she refused to answer, her best friend was in town and she wanted to spend as much time with him as she could. Most of her family was meeting her here at the apartment to take pictures with her before she headed over to the football stadium to receive her degree. There was a knock on the bathroom door and she put on her robe before she allowed the person entrance.
"What's the matter," she asked looking at Ben.
"Nothing. I just wanted to have a few minutes with you to myself before things got crazy.
She smiled at him and hugged him tightly.
"Can I tell you something?"
"Of course," he said with his thick Australian accent.
"I'm a little nervous. What if the future is nothing like I expected it to be?"
"What fun is the future if we think it's easy?"
She took a deep breath and looked at her reflection in the mirror before pushing a stray hair away from her face. Ben walked up behind her and placed his arms on her shoulders.
"If anyone has the potential to make something out of themselves it's you."
"Thanks," she said feeling relieved that she had spoken to Ben about her issue.
She turned around and bit her lip, Ben licked his and their faces inched closer together before there was a knock on the door. Jada walked to the door and answered it, rolling her eyes when she realized that Scott was on the other side.
"Good morning sunshine," he smiled.
"Hi," she said looking back at her door.
"What's the matter with you?"
"Nothing much."
"Whose back there," he asked pushing her to the side.
"No one."
As if on que, Ben stepped from inside of Jada's room and Scott tackled Ben to the ground when he registered what the scene before him implied.
"Scott stop it," she screamed as she watched the two roll around on the ground.
Ben managed to get the upper hand and stood up before Scott charged at him again.
"Stop it."
"Did you fuck him last night?"
"No I did not."
"So why are you in your robe?"
"I was in the shower before he knocked on the door."
"So why the fuck was he even in your bedroom?"
"I realize how this looks but you have to believe me nothing happened between us."
"I can't believe this shit is happening. I'm being played by a bitch that's so damn clueless," Scott chuckled lowly. "I've been sleeping around on you anyway."
"You gone stop talking to her crazy," Ben said looking at Scott as if he wanted to kill him.
"What the fuck are gone do Benji? Make up your damn mind who you want to be with right now Jada."
She thought back to what Scott had just said.
"Are you cheating on me," she asked with tears in her eyes.
