If looks could kill, Scott would've been six feet under by now. Instead of cowering away, he took the opportunity to step inside of the well decorated condo.

"This is a nice place Ben. I'm surprised you could afford it."

Ben dropped his head and smirked. He knew that Scott was trying to get under his skin, but he was not about to give him that satisfaction.

"Thanks. It helps when you have Jada living her to keep everything in order while I'm focused on the draft. Y'know."

Scott's jaw clinched and Ben walked into the kitchen. He wasn't above trading blows with someone who has shown up unannounced to start trouble with his best friend.

"You need to leave Scott," Jada said.

"But I came to see you."

"You saw me so leave. No one wants you here."

"Oh come on Jada. You can't possibly still be upset over this Marcie shit."

Jada narrowed her eyes at Scott.

"I'm sorry that you feel that way but it's time for you to go."

"Says who. I'm not leaving here without you Jada."

"Well you gotta get the hell out of here," Ben said as he watched Scott intently.

"When you're ready to come back. You know where to find me," Scott said looking at her with an arrogant smirk on his face.

Jada took a look at his arm that was wrapped around his waist and felt her skin crawl.

"You're right at the damn clinic. Goodbye Scott."

He dropped his arm and spared Jada one last look.

"I hope he's worth it Jada, because I won't be around forever."

"Good luck finding someone better than me," she responded as she opened the door for him.

He walked out and turned around attempting to say something else, but she closed the door before he could utter a word.

"You good J-Lo."

She felt the few stubborn tears trying to force their way down her cheeks, but she squared her shoulders and turned to Ben.

"Never better."

"Moral of the story is I'm holding down the fort while you're away."

"Carter baby where are the champagne glasses?"

Jada made a face at her brother as she watched a woman come into the camera's view.

"Who is that in my house?"

"That's the chief that I have with me."

Jada rolled her eyes at her little brother.

"Keep your hoes out of my house. I don't have time for them to be tearing my shit up because you wanna fuck the whole city of California."

"Now sis. Not the whole city just the broads with fat asses," Carter smirked.

"And this is why your nasty ass stays burning."

"I'm clean as a whistle," he bragged.

"If you say so."

At twenty one, Carter was taking the saying 'Sowing his wild oats' to a new level. She could barely keep up with all the girls he had in a week, so she was amazed that he didn't mix any of the girls up.
