Ben paced around his apartment as he tried to figure out places that Jada could be. She hadn't been answering any of his phone calls and Marcie didn't even try to call her. Some fucking friend she is, Ben bitterly thought to himself.
"No luck," Sean said rubbing his hands down his face. "What in the hell happened last night?"
Ben punched the wall angrily and looked up at the ceiling. How could he have let this happen?
"I think it's time that I leave."
Marcie stood awkwardly in the doorway and Ben rolled his eyes.
"So you come here and start drama and then decide that once Jada gets lost that it's time for you to leave."
"There is no need for me to be here."
"Is she the reason that Jada is missing," Sean asked giving Marcie a deadly glare.
"Yes."
"So you're just going to deny the fact that you put me on the spot?"
"I didn't force you to spread your legs for your best friend's man."
"The sad part is you still don't see the part you play in this."
"What are you talking about?"
"You rat me and Scott out and then Jada will fall into your arms and thank you for protecting her."
"I think it's time for you to leave. Like now," Sean said walking closer to Marcie.
"It's crazy how protective over her the both of you are even after she admitted that she didn't want to be here," Marcie said rolling her eyes.
"It's also sickening how you fucked her boyfriend, but no one is judging you for that, now leave. I have a best friend to find."
"If she does pick up the phone for you, let her know that I love her and I'm really sorry, but shit happened."
Ben could never understand how someone could hurt someone they claimed to love, but agreed to let her know if he ever heard back from her. When the door closed, Sean walked over to Ben and patted his back.
"We'll find her, don't worry."

Jada felt as though her head was about to explode from all the tears that she'd cried and she still couldn't find it in herself to stop crying. She could not believe that the two people that she trusted the most had let her down in the worst way possible. When she looked down at her phone, she saw a number that she didn't recognize calling her, she didn't know why she answered it, but she was glad that she did.
"Hello?"
"Jada where in the hell are you?"
She wiped her face and scrunched up her nose as if the person on the other end could see her.
"LeBron?"
"Yes it's me."
"How'd you get my number?"
"How do you think? Ben called me worried sick about you and I know you don't know your way around my city to venture off too far. So where are you?"
She bit her lip and sniffled before answering him.
"In his apartment lobby."
"Are you fucking kidding me," LeBron said chuckling slightly.
"Like you said, I don't know your city that well and I don't want to see him right now."
