Chapter 23: The Truth

"God okay, we're the reason she broke up with you."

"I'm sorry what," I practically screamed at them.

"We're the reason Gabi broke up with you and we said that if she told you or if you somehow found out that we would fire both you and her."

"You're kidding right?!"

"No Dean we're being serious, now we would appreciate if you'd leave our office before you say something that you'll regret later on."

"Fine but this isn't over," I said then left to go find Gabi.

Gabi's POV~

After I ran away from their office I sat in my dressing room wiping away tears. I was so angry at myself for letting all of this happen. If I never got into petty drama with Michelle and Stacey then I would never be this is situation and Dean and I would still be together. I'm probably going to get fired since Steph and Hunter hate me and they're never going to tell Dean or let me tell him so that's never gonna start up again.

After about ten minute of my self pity party I grabbed my things and headed for the exit. As I was about to leave, but I heard someone calling for me,"Hey Gabi wait up!"

"Hi Dean."

"Listen they told me and I hate them just as much as you do and I forgive you. I'm so sorry they put you through all that, I wish I could've been there for you."

"Hey it's okay, it's all over now and we can go back to being............friends," I said with a hint of confusion in my voice. Were we going to start out as friend or go back to dating each other?

"I was kinda hoping we could be more than just friends," he said then leaned to kiss me.

"I can't do this," I said right before our lips met, turning away,"You have a girlfriend Dean. I can't do that to Renée, so until that's all figured out I can't be with you, I'm sorry," I said, kissed his cheek, then drove back to the hotel.

~The next day at the arena~

"Gabi what the hell," Seth said after stopping me in the middle of the arena.

"What did I do this time," I said exhausted of constantly being yelled at.

"Why did you reject Dean like that?"

"Excuse me but he has a girlfriend! I would never wreck someone's relationship like that!"

"News flash Gabi they're not in love like you two were and quite frankly still are."

"That doesn't change anything. You can't put any of the blame on me. If you want someone to blame, blame Dean, it's all on him to break up with his girlfriend if he wants to date me."

"You know Dean's not good in sensitive situations like that."

"And who's problem is that? If he can't even break up with her for me why should we get back together then?"

"You're right, I'll talk to him about it," Seth said then walked off, finally leaving me alone.

"Jeez your life is a mess," someone with a very familiar voice said from behind me.

"Oh believe me I know," I said turning around to see...Bryan?! "Oh my gosh what are you doing here," I asked hugging my brother in law.

"They offered me a position here after the brand spilt."

"Oh, that's cool and all but won't it kind of bum you out?"

"I think it will initially have an effect on me but I'll get used to it eventually."

"Did you hear all of that conversation?"

"Majority of it."

"Ah so you do know how ultimately screwed I am."

"I guess you could say that, but it's obvious that you two are eventually going to get back together."

"You never know. If he never grows a pair and breaks up with her, then we're never going to happen."

~3 hours later~ (spongebob anyone)

Throughout the day whenever Renée saw me walking past her and Dean she would immediately be all over him. She would start hugging, kissing, and feeling him all up, all while keeping as much eye contact with me as possible.

"Why does she keep doing that," Paige asked as she did it again for the ninth time today.

"You tell me."

"Maybe she just wants a reaction from you," Becky suggested.

"A reaction huh," I said then thought for awhile before waking directly toward them. After reaching them and pulling Dean out of the hug with Renée, I gave her a wink before smashing my lips into Dean's. I walked back to the girls after our pretty heated kiss.

"What the hell Gabi?!" I heard from everyone around me.

"What do you mean 'what the hell' I've been waiting forever for that," Seth exclaimed, running at me with a bone-crushing hug.

"Alright Seth. Let. Go. Now. Please," I said while running out of breath.

"Sorry."

"Why? What is? Just why? What made you do that," Paige asked super quickly.

"It was fun to do and it wiped the smile right off of Renée's face."

~Later that day~

Everybody was getting ready to go, as was I, when I, once again heard Dean call my name.

"Yes Dean?"

"Renée broke up with me. So now that that's taken care of, can we talk about us?"

"Hmm I don't know," I said jokingly,"Any other girls that I have to worry about?"

"Well there is this one girl."

"Okay tell me about her."

"She's beautiful, inside and out. She has an amazing personality and laughs at my jokes, even when they're absolutely terrible. Each second I spend with her I slowly become a better person. She cares for me and loves me in spite of my crazy past and somehow crazier present. I don't know where I would be without her, probably in a ditch. I've never been loved the way she loves me and I never want to be loved by any other, because I know that they would never compare to her, nothing does."

"Who is amazing mystery person," I asked, knowing damn well that it was me.

"Well turn around she's right there," at this point my heart shattered. It's not me?!

However, when I turned around there was a mirror instead of a person,"I hate you," I told him as I turned around and placed a sweet kiss on his lips.

"I love you too."
