Chapter 2: Old/New Relationships

One week later~

After winning the match at the Royal Rumble, I went to find Dean since I promised him. "Hey," I said walking up to him.

"Hey."

"What do you want to do?"

"Um, why do you think I would to hang out with you," he asked jokingly.

"Asshole," I muttered and he chuckled.

"Speaking of assholes," he said nudging his head toward my ex, Cm Punk. I instantly felt tears forming. He broke me, it took me 7 months to get over him. I know Dean saw me because he hugged me, petting my hair. Even though I tried not to, I silently cried in his chest.

"Can we go please," I asked after the hug.

"Ya." We went back to the hotel, since Dean already had his match. I felt like shit and I most likely looked like shit too.

"I thought you got over him."

"I did, but it still stings, looking at him. Dean you have to promise me not to do anything."

"I make no promises, but fine," when he said that I couldn't help but smile.

"Thanks. Now what should we do?"

"Get over Phil," he said and I immediately feel confused.

"What?"

"You still have anger or sadness about him, so rant." Turns out he was right, he saw right through me. After ranting for ten minutes straight, we finally move onto another topic.

"Dean hand over the phone."

"You're way to dependent on it," even though he was right, I wanted it back.

"Why did you take it from me?"

"You weren't paying attention to me."

"Since when do you need all my attention, all the time?"

"Since like...fine you win, take your fucking phone," he said with a sigh and I smile.

"I have to go and meet up with Brie and Nikki, and you're going with me."

"Why?"

"Because I want you to and you've kind of become my best friend so get up." He jumps up and puts his arm around me.

"Okay best friend take me to your sisters." We went to a local coffee shop and saw Brie, Nikki, Bryan, and John. 'Good thing a brought a date' I though to myself.

"Hey guys," I say

"Hey," Nikki said.

"Nice date," Brie said pointing to Dean.

"Wow so now I'm just 'a date', and nice seeing you too Brie," Dean said chuckling

"Guys John and I have interviews so we're going to head out," Bryan said.

Everyone said bye to them as they left together. "Gabi you have a match tomorrow and it's against Aj," Nikki said looking down.

"I don't know why everyone thinks I hate Aj or I should, she is dating Punk but I don't care," I snap and Dean puts his hand on my shoulder to calm me down.

"Chil out you have a match against Aj and if you're thinking too much, you'll mess up," Dean whispered calmly.

"Gabi did you go in for a fitting yesterday," Brie asked me changing the subject.

"Ya why?"

"Nikki and I have to go, our fittings were accidentally scheduled on different days."

"Oh ok then bye," I disappointed.

"What do you want to?

"I don't know Dean."

"Let's go watch a movie." We watched Insidious and I got scared a lot.

"Dean why did you have to pick a scary movie?"

"Do you not like scary movies," he asked full well knowing I don't.

"We discussed this like the day we met, how I think going into a movie, on purpose to scare yourself is pointless."

"We did and I listened but it was the only good movie. Plus when you get scared it's hilarious," we leaned in then kissed! "I have to go." I was left in shock, that one of my best friends just kissed me.

A Few Days Later~
It's been a few days since we kissed and we haven't talked. I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up. I was sitting down at catering and I heard Eva say,"Dean and I hit it off ladies. First date and we literally had like a make out session." I don't know why, but that made my blood boil. I walked over to The Shields locker room and knocked. Seth opened it,"Hey Gabi what's up?"

"I came to see Dean if that's ok."

"Uh ya of course come in," he said stepping inside to let me in. "We'll give you two some privacy," he said leaving with Roman.

"What do you want to talk about," he asked not bothering to look me in the eye.

"Dean I think you know. I don't know where our relationship stands, but I know you like Eva. Whatever was going on doesn't need to continue, I'm not going to hold you back. So have fun with-," I was cut off by Dean kissing me. "Think of that as a goodbye kiss," I said then left.

I felt like shit, I basically lost my best friend over a kiss, a stupid kiss.

One week later~

Deans POV~
I was walking around backstage when Brie stopped me," Dean I don't know what you did or said to my sister but she's hurt. She won't talk about it, every time we mention your first name she says don't say that name then walks away crying."

"Why doesn't she want you to say my first name."

"Weren't you listening she won't talk about it. She's the same way as she was when Punk broke up with her." My heart stopped, I hurt her that badly.

Out of nowhere Gabi came and said,"Brie you're not doing this, not here not ever. Calm down and come with me. Leave Ambrose alone."

"Gabi please talk to me," I pleaded. "I never wanted to hurt you!"

"Ambrose no. I'm not doing this anymore. You were my best friend, when you kissed me, it meant the world to me. It showed that you gave a shit, then after that nothing, so I'm done."

"You don't have to best friend with me, just friends would be fine.

"That wouldn't work you already know too much about me to just be friends. I have a match."

The next day~

Gabi POV~
I didn't have a match I lied, I just couldn't deal with being there. "I think you should give him another chance," Nikki said.

"Why should she, he's an ass," Brie said getting pissed.

"He may be an ass but he cares about her, and she cares about him," Nikki said defending him.

"Why are you on his side anyway, you should be helping Gabi."

"I am on her side Brie, and she's miserable." I just left couldn't deal with it anymore.

"Gabi!" I turned around to see who it was.

"Ambrose?"

"I need to tell you something." I turned to leave but Roman and Seth blocked me from leaving.

"Nice you got your friends to help you," I said rolling my eyes.

"Whatever happened between Eva and I was a one time thing. We didn't hit it off I was drunk."

"You may have been drunk, but you can't take back whatever happened."

"I know."

"Can I leave," I asked trying to hide my tears.

"Are we on good terms?"

"Ya. Now can I leave?"

"See you at Wrestlemaina?"

"Ya."
