"Bye Mommy, I love you, too!" I yelled to my mommy as I lined up with my classmates.

I tapped the shoulder of the strawberry blond boy in front of me. He turned around and smiled at me brightly before hugging me tightly. "Hi Y/N! How are you doing?"

"I'm awesome because I had Frosted Flakes for breakfast and that's the best cereal ever to eat for breakfast, don't you agree?"

Patrick shook his head. "Froot Loops are better."

"Patrick Martin Stump, you take that back!" I cried.

He shook his head stubbornly. "Fruit Loops are the best and Coco Crispies are second and Frosted Flakes are third."

"You've been lied to! It's all a misconception!"

     "What does that mean?"

I shrugged. "I dunno. My mommy said it to my daddy this morning. It sounded smart so I'm going to use it. But back to what I was saying, that's not true! Frosted Flakes are the best because they're sugary and crunchy."

"So are Froot Loops, but they're even better because they taste like fruit."

"Fruit is healthy and cereal isn't so it's bad. Healthy things should not be mixed with unhealthy things."

"Inside, class!" Our teacher Mrs. Fanning shouted.

I grabbed Patrick's hand and pulled him along. "We can finish talk this at break."

At break, Patrick and I sprawled out on the grass and talked about the randomest of things, like what board games were fun and the kind of pets we wanted in the future.

"...a kitty cat, three doggies, a birdie, two lizards, a froggy, and a horsie."

"I like the other animals but I can't be around kitty cats, their hair makes my nose itchy and I can't stop sneezing. Can we get another doggy instead?"

"We?"

"Well if you want to... I was hoping we could get married and live together."

"Really?"

Patrick looked down at the grass. "Yeah. But it's okay if you don't want to."

"Why me Patrick?"

"Because you're pretty and funny and nice and you smell good, like flowers," he said as he plucked a daisy from the grass and put it in my hair. "Will you be my partner?"

"Aw, Patrick." I scooted next to him and hugged him fiercly. "You're so sweet. Of course I'll be your wife."

"Really?" He asked excitedly.

"Yes! And I don't care if you get me a ring because you care about me and I care about you and that's all that matters."

Patrick hugged me back. "I love youuu."

I giggled and kissed his cheek, which made him blush and smile broadly. "I love you tooooo."
