He was looking at me.
Look away! He'll catch you staring.
I quickly turned my head away from him.
I hope he didn't see me.
I slowly turn my head in his direction, he was sitting three rows away from me. He was so good looking, that I couldn't help but stare at his wavy blonde, silky hair. I wondered a lot if it felt the way it looked. His eyes were the most beautiful thing about him, they were an emerald, grass green. I swear every time I looked at them they drew me into a wonderland of happiness.
You're staring again!
I quickly snapped out of my thoughts about Aiden, my first crush. I had been obsessing over him for five months now.
I wish he would just talk to me.
As if on cue, he looked over at me and smiled. That's the fist time that he's ever done that. I instantly blushed and looked down at my desk I was sitting at. I was in algebra 2, and I always never payed attention to the lessons, but still I managed to make A's on the test.
When the bell rang for third period I grabbed my binder and pencil and crammed it into my book bag. I was almost out the door when someone pulled on my arm, stopping me. I turned around to see who it was, and that was when I came face to face with the greenest, purest eyes I've ever seen.
Aiden.
I was dumbfounded and I couldn't seem to form words. It seemed like an eternity before I heard him speak.
"Hey. Raven, right?"
He knew who I was!
"Uhm. Yeah..." was all I could muster up.
"Hi, I'm Aiden. I have a favor to ask you."
He was asking me for a favor? Oh my goodness, I couldn't believe this was happening.
"Mhmm....what is it?" I asked with fake confidence.
He started to scratch the back of his neck and smiled widely.
He's so cute.
"See the thing is we have a test next class period and I know none of it. Could you help me out?"
Crap.
"Uhhh, sure."
Of course he'd ask for something I couldn't actually help him with.
I mean I was good at math, but I couldn't say the same about tutoring.
"Great, here put your number in." He said while taking his phone out, then gave it to me.
"I'll call you and let you know when you can come over."
Come over? Me? Go to Aiden's house? God really must've heard my prayers.
I smiled brightly and nodded. I turned around and practically ran so he didn't have time to suffocate me completely with his charms.

The next day he called me at 6 o'clock to ask me to come over. Of course I said yes. I got all of my notes and got into my car.
His house was so big, compared to my little two bedroom, one bathroom apartment. It looked about three stories. I was completely transfixed on this gigantic house, not for long though.
I got out of the car and carried my stuff to the door.  I walked up the stairs to the front door and knocked. It took all about four seconds for him to open the door and let me in. I thought the outside was huge, it was nothing compared to the inside. It made me think about what a castle might look like.
He lead me upstairs to his room. It looked nothing like the living room. His room was a dark deep blue with posters covering the walls. I saw a twenty one pilots poster, and immediately fell more in love with Aiden. He preceded to sit down on his queen sized bed, and patted the space beside him. I made my way to sit down beside him.
"So where should we start?" He questioned.
I have no idea.
"Maybe with the things you don't understand then."
He laughed, "So all of it?"

It took about three hours to explain everything to him, in my opinion it actually was pretty easy to teach him. He followed along easily. I was almost about to say my goodbyes when he said, "I could get used to this."
I pondered on that.
"Get used to what?"
"You coming over."
I became colored and coughed to cover it up.
"It's no problem, just text or call me whenever if you need any help."
He smirked, "I meant I could get used to spending time with you, Raven. I like you."
I must be hearing things.
"What? You like me?"
"Yeah. What's not to like? You're smart, nice, and beautiful." When he said 'beautiful' he leaned in closer to me, on the bed.
Was he... flirting with me?
I wasn't expecting that, so I sat there shocked. He just admitted he liked me. Could life get any better than this?

The next day I came into algebra class and sat down. I was patiently waiting for Aiden to walk in through the door. Another moment and I saw him coming down the hall with a girl. He was smiling at her, while holding her hand. My heart started beating rapidly.
Raven it's just a girl. Maybe his friend?
She leaned, kissing him on the lips. My heart felt like it was just stabbed.
He lied to me. So stupid!

After we took our test, I sat quietly thinking about last night. The way he said he liked me, the way he looked at me.
Maybe I'm just misunderstanding it. Who am I kidding....
After class I would ask him about it. I didn't need to be concerned right now. I didn't know her, for all I knew it wasn't even like that.
Maybe they were just really close. I mean it wasn't a crime to do that, right?

When class ended I saw him walk out the door, I followed him to question who that was with him. I was going to try to be non stalkerish about it. I didn't want him thinking I was watching him, even though I was, but he'd probably take it the wrong way.
He rounded the corner and so did I, just before I almost called out to him, I saw the girl from earlier approach him. I abruptly hid around the corner, then peeked around to see him hug her. She smiled and kissed him.
I was right.
I didn't know what to do so I just ran.

I entered the bathroom, going to the mirror to look at myself. I was a mess, an ugly mess. My eyes were like a raccoon, as a result of crying and wiping the tears away. I shouldn't even be crying. He was a crush, he wasn't a cheating boyfriend.
But he admitted himself, he liked me.
I stared at myself in the mirror, for a long moment, gripping the sink. Anger briskly replaced the hurt. I tightened the grip on the sink.
You're so stupid!
Out of no where thunder shook the school walls, the mirror breaks and hot water comes shooting out of the faucet, hitting me in the face. It was like lava, this made me scream in shock and pain.
It just fueled my anger and the lights started flickering on and off, they eventually busted. My heart started beating as if I had been running a marathon. I gripped my chest, pain encasing me.
What's going on?
I scream from the sudden distress I was going through. All at once, I hear people start shouting, and then footsteps echoing through the hall from the apparent running. Still in pain, I try to grasp for the wall to try and find the exit in the dark bathroom. I find the door and pull it with forcefulness. I was taken back by all of the people running from the halls to the other building for shelter.
What are they running from?
I fastened my pace a little to follow all of the students and staff to the other building. My confusion ended when I heard lightening and a wall crack. It came from the middle of the school.
The roof!
As soon as I looked up, the middle section of the school's roof was torn off the building. It was horrific, pieces of the roof were crumbling down and were hitting people in all directions. The most ghastly thing that happened that day was the three people that were sucked up through the roof, never to be seen by their' loved ones ever again. People were crying at what just happened before them. I'm sure that they would always remember this moment. The worst part though, was thinking that I had caused all of it. I would have to live with knowing ......
It was all my fault.

~ Present Day ~
I rushed around the side of the building, where I saw the woman and man at. I was hoping to find some trace of my friend. Nothing. I heaved out a breath of frustration. She couldn't have went through the exit door. I was standing right in front of it! There had to be another door.
I hurriedly searched around for another entrance to the club, and then I quickly looked around the back of the brick building. There was a dirt path leading from the back of the building into the woods, that were surrounding the entire place. It looked like something you'd see out of a horror movie, and I would be the dumb girl that would follow the trail leading to the killer. Knowing that nothing good would come of it.
It's worth it. I thought back to Maegan's same words she said, when she was risking life as she knew it, for me. It's about time I start repaying her for everything she's done.
