I know its been a while since I posted.. life changes and all, but I hope you all enjoy. POR IS BACK!!!!           -M

I could hear voices coming from outside of the infirmary. It sounded like Elijah was being reprimanded by someone I couldn't recognize. Slowly I picked myself up out of the bed, moving quietly towards the door.

"..what do you think that'll do? " someone said angrily.

" Lets try to indulge her for the moment. I know its a bit of a stretch, but she needs to keep thinking that her diagnosis is correct. "

" He's not going to even agree to it. "

" Look there's no reason he wouldn't. I'm positive he doesn't want her to know whats really going on until after she's in control." Elijah stated calmly.

" I doubt that he'd even want her to know at all."

Whatever was going on I was getting the feeling that I was being watched for longer than I expected. The vampire king, Damien, had a lot of secrets he seemed to be keeping from me also.

Escaping seems pretty tempting right about now. I wish I could pull it off.

Moving away from the door I realized that there was a window to the far left side of the room. I didn't have time earlier to even check my surroundings. When I looked out I realized how far up we were and how secluded this place really was. If I were to try to run it would take a while for me to even get anywhere and thats if I could even find Maegan.

The sound of the door knob turning made me turn my gaze off of the stretch of forrest below me.

" Ms. Freeman you should be resting." Elijah said with concern lingering in his eyes.

" Did you talk to Adrican about Maegan?'

I wasn't comfortable with saying ' the king ' or ' Damien 'to be fair. Heck I wish I could've just called him asshole or any other profanity that matched whatever I was feeling in the moment. His last name only seemed right to me, considering he wasn't high on my list of respectable people. He was lucky I was even acknowledging him at all.

" Im sorry, but unfortunately you'll need to speak with him yourself regarding your friend."

I sighed. " Great."

He looked almost unhappy when he looked at me. Maybe he was pitying me. Unlike his king, he seemed to have emotions.

" Are you at least feeling better? "

" My chest is still bothering me. Could you please ask someone if I could go see Audrican. " His name felt so weird and strange to say aloud making me hesitant to even speak it at all.

Funny. One man can make me feel this uncomfortable.

" Yes. Just lay down and rest your body. " He turned around and left me to my thoughts about Maegan. Hopefully I could get some rest. God only knew what was in store for me.

A couple of hours passed by and I still couldn't sleep . I could tell from the darkness engulfing the room, that the sunset had long passed without me realizing. Part of me wondered if this was still Colorado. Although I saw woods that stretched out, for what looked like miles, I wasn't sure. My heart was still racing and was still in pain. Irony at its best, a supposed supernatural being having problems with her heart. Sounded a little anticlimactic to me. The one thing I needed the most I couldn't even get right now because of him. Maegan would've just beaten him to death if she was in my shoes. My fear kept getting in the way of what I wanted to do. I should of never agreed to such conditions. If he needed my help he couldn't be that powerful.
