It's was so cold, below freezing, and my foster family decided to go sled ridding. I had no idea why they wanted to go after dark. They said something about no one would be there and we could have a fun family night. We got in the car at 8 o'clock to head out. Living in Bluebell, Utah in the winter was hard. Heck living in Bluebell, Utah period was hard. Considering we lived 30 miles away from actual civilization. It also, like I said, got really cold. We didn't let that stop us from having fun, we probably should have though.

The park was deserted and it was only the five of us. It was my mom, dad, two sisters, and me. Dad started to unload the sleds from the back of our Buick. It took about ten minutes to get the sleds out, walk to the hills of the park, and then start sledding.
There was a little trail that u could slide on, that went on for about a mile. We had two sleds. One could fit four and the other could fit two. My parents had the one that could fit two and my sisters and I had the other one.
They went first, we had to wait three minutes after so we didn't end up hitting them.  The moment we went down, all of us started screaming and then eventually laughing. The lamp posts were lighting the trail as we slid through the trees, it was really beautiful. I could've kept riding the whole night, but it was impossible to think that I could actual be normal like my foster family. I had to come to terms that I was never going to be normal. My family knew I wasn't like them. They accepted me for who I was, not what I was. I wished I could've accepted myself.
As we were descending down another steep hill, something came out of no where, flipping the sled and us with it. I was the one in front on the sled, which caused me to be the one that was underneath both my sisters. They both piled on top of me when we flipped.
"Sapphire? Starr?" I heaved out. "Are y'all okay?"
"I-I c-can't move m-my leg!" Sapphire choked out.
"Can you move at all?"
The pressure on my back started to disappear and I could finally lift my body up, and saw Starr help Sapphire up. I pushed myself upright and dusted off the snow that covered my coat and knees.
"Let me see your leg."
"It feels better now, it was Starr. She was on my leg and it was twisted in an uncomfortable position."
A breath of relief left me.
"Thank goodness y'all are okay, I didn't know what ha-"
I was disrupted when I saw a faint light in the trees behind Sapphire and Starr. Before I knew it, it was coming straight towards us. It wasn't really a light, it looked like a bolt of lightning.
I grabbed their shoulders and pushed them out of the way. Thankfully I was able to get them out of the way, but I couldn't say the same for myself.
I shrieked when the pang of the assumed to be bolt of light, hit me in the arm, knocking me to the ground again. Unaware of, four men emerged from the trees. The lamp posts were giving me little help to see their features. I looked over to see Starr and Sapphire shocked still. I could feel tension in the air, coming from the four men.
This didn't feel right.
"Who are you!" I screamed at them, hoping to get an answer.
I started to get back up on my feet when two of the men closed in on me. The other two were moving towards my sisters.
"Don't you go near them!"
They didn't stop, they kept walking straight for my sisters, which made me angry. I put my hand up towards them, trying to show them I wanted them to leave my sisters alone. Out of nowhere, fire shot out of my hand. The fire caressed both of them, making them scream out in agony. They both dropped to the ground covered in snow, and rolled around like dogs would in grass.
   I looked at my hand.
It's all your fault. You're a monster. You killed those people. You started the storm. You took them away from their loved ones. You ruined the school. It's all your fault...
"No.." I softly said.
"Not again."
They couldn't stop the fire. It wasn't a normal fire, it would forever burn until it claimed their lives. I couldn't control it, it was like it had a mind of its own.
They deserve it. You know they do.
"No!" I gripped my head trying to shake the voice that was telling me it was okay.
The men in front of me ran over to the others to try and put out the fire, corrupting their friend's bodies. Not a moment more they stopped hollering and moving all together. The ones remaining were livid.
"You'll pay for that," one gritted out, "and I know how."
He turned to my sisters and the other man turned to me. He all but sprinted at me, there was no way I could get up fast enough to guard myself. When he reached me he pulled me up by my arm, and held my shoulders back.Tears threatened to fall. I couldn't let them.
"Raven!" They both yelled for help.
I was useless. My kicking and screaming were futile, he was too strong. The man grabbed Starr and said, "Remember the screams that come from your sisters, remember you were not able to help them, and remember they died because of you."
A spinning ball of light formed out of his hand, giving light to his scruffy face, and went straight into my sister's chest. Blood tricked out of her mouth, while she made harsh gurgling noises.
"STOP. PLEASE. STOP." I shouted out.
"She didn't do anything! Hurt me. Hurt me, not her! Please...." I roared out with despair.
He threw Starr to the ground and moved over to reach Sapphire.
"No! Raven, Raven." She called out.
I had to save her. I had to.
Footsteps could be heard over her pleading to me. I turn to see my mom and dad running over to the scene before us. Their eyes immediately find Starr's lifeless body on the snow covered ground. My mom instantly fell to her knees, shock taking ahold of her actions. My dad, on the other hand, looked up at me. His eyes showed a glint of guilt and hopelessness. I couldn't look away from him because his sorrow pulled me in, until he looked away. He glanced at Starr and examined the red colored snow around her shoulders and face. Then raised his head to gaze into the one that killed her. His hatred was evident, and the man knew it.
"Looks like you also have to witness your parents die too. Ethan. Take care of him." He asserted.
I yelled for him to run and get far away from here. All he did was stand in front of my mom and held his ground.
The man, named Ethan, laughed at him. My dad decided then he would charge at Ethan. Ethan saw him and threw me to the snow for the second time tonight.
My vision was getting hazier by the moment and I could nearly keep my eyes open from the hurt of losing my sister and because my dried tears.
I heard a hiss and I dizzily raised up from the snow.
My dad was holding his stomach while swaying. The man then stepped back from him.
"I'm sorry..."
He closed his eyes and fell, causing a loud gut wrenching yell from Sapphire. I couldn't look at him, or I'd end up falling apart. My mom sobbed loudly and tried to get to him. Ethan was on her in a blur, plunging a dagger into her also.
Mom!" I bellowed.
Sapphire attempted to escape the man, while screaming out to mom, who was now laying in a puddle of blood along with Starr and dad. The man then placed his hands at Sapphire's temples and spoke,
"Die autem."
She also dropped to the ground.
"What did you do!" All I could do was lay there.
"Sapphire, wake up. You have to get up, you have to. Please get up!"
I could barely pull my body towards her. I felt broken. Dead inside, like apart of me died with them all.
"Get up. A very important person is waiting for your arrival Raven." The sadistic, evil man declared.
I lifted my head and glared at both of the men in front of me.
I could feel the anger, dread, and bitterness take over my emotions. I directed all of them at these men, that had taken my family away from me. Letting it all release from me, I wanted it to go to them. They should feel how I felt, they should feel dead inside. The air around me crackled with power that wasn't there before. I found the strength to lift myself off the ground and found the courage to fight back.
"Hey, hey!" The men shouted in unison,
They started to decay in front of my eyes, and I liked it.
Die.
They howled in pain and fear of what I was doing. Their shouts died down until there was no sound to be heard. Then their bodies turned into nothing but bones and then dust. My mind felt fried and my body heavy. I could feel the exhaustion creeping over me.
I was alone.
I looked around at the bodies littering the trail, that we once were just having fun going down. Guilt plagued me.
Sapphire, Starr, mom, and dad. They're gone. They're all dead. I'm all alone.......... I'll always be alone.

~Present Day~

My eyes flutter open, I noticed that my eyes were wet and my cheeks were too. I must've been crying. I hated dreaming about the nightmares of my past. It brought back memories that I have tried so desperately to never remember.
Wait.
I looked around and I was not in my room. I look down at where I was and noticed this was not my bed either. I inspected the room and it was very extravagant, like something you'd see in a palace. The walls were blood red and the floor looked like marble. There was a high window with golden drapes hanging open to reveal the early morning sky. It was still dark out, but I could tell the sun rise was not too far away.
Maegan!
How could I forget, that guy! He had Maegan. Could I be sure he had her? Who is he? Did he bring me here? Where is here?
My thoughts were going one hundred miles per hour in my head.
There had to be something going on that I didn't quite understand. Something bigger than this situation.
A knock comes from the door that I didn't notice, on the far left side of the room. Then the door opens.
